Looks like the total system has a success rate of about 30%, but that's the way people work these things. If you don't get a warning in time to launch a counter missile, then that part of the system failed. Doubtless the 70% success rate is all about targets they actually launched on. Please to note these are much easier targets than ICBM's those are coming in at reentry speeds, which is much faster and therefore a much harder target. Which is exactly why the US has counter missiles for those based in Europe and Turkey and a number of other places that aren't tens of thousands of miles from the launch points.
Hamas is likely to agree to stop shooting and spend more time digging in. The idea that they'll suddenly start growing flowers and become peaceful is pretty much nonsense. Israel apparently isn't finding much in the way of hardened facilities so air strikes can pretty well clear out most of the hot spots. It's expensive but doesn't risk much on the Israeli side.
