I think that Trump has finally figured out how evil Putin is and that negotiating with him is pointless. We may be on the verge of NATO doing something to Russia to punish them for the NATO airspace incursions.
This is a VERY dangerous game.
If Russia feels that it is actually getting attacked by NATO, its anybody's guess how they may lash out.
Nuke use in Ukraine may be a response by them.
I think that the Russians sending drones over Poland and aircraft flights over NATO borders may be for internal propaganda purposes, but NATO ratcheting things up beyond giving the Ukrainians more arms and ammunition is an escalation that we probably don't want right now.
Russia is not Iran.

Europe is in shambles and is starting to act as crazy as those lunatic Zionists. Trump and Putin are cut from the same cloth. They'll try to drag us in again. False flags have started a surprisingly large amount of wars. WAR IS A RACKET
Re: Generational Dynamics World View News
Putin is on the path he wants to be on. He's stated countless times that he wants to rebuild the Russian Empire and it wasn't until the full-scale invasion of Ukraine that we began to take him seriously.
Trump offered him 90% of what he wanted, more than enough for Putin to claim victory. He refused, even increasing his demands, making clear he had no interest in peace.
I suspect he might also be motivated by trying to regain NATO's confidence, given how furious they were at him turning their back. He might have been hoping they could stand on their own so we could focus on China, but they've shown a stunning lack of ability to do it. Instead, they've been denouncing us and claiming we'll never be trusted again.
Frankly, when China makes their move, I don't think we're going to get any support from them. The alliance has been fracturing for a long time. There's really no reason why NATO would need our help to fight Russia, given they're far weaker than the Soviet Union was. However, with a handful of exceptions, Russia is still seen as a distant threat and potential partner, even by some former Warsaw Pact nations. I expect invoking Article V will get the diplomatic version of: "Screw you, you're on your own!"
When it comes to Iran, we didn't even see their domestic population rally after we struck them, which says a lot about how detested the regime is. Right now, they've mostly been quiet, focusing on internal dissent, but I doubt that will last.

Government Shutdown
I can't think of a more boneheaded play than the Dems are now making with allowing the government to go into shutdown.
I remember when the Republicans did this during the Clinton administration and it backfired big time on them.
It is going to backfire this time on the Dems. Trump has actually been able to portray them as holding up government checks to prevent the cutoff of health care aid to illegal immigrants.
It also makes massive federal government layoffs possible, something DOGE could not effect due to Congress controlling the government budget. So now the Dems appear to have really shot themselves in the foot. If the crisis escalates into a wider economic disaster, the Dems will now get the blame for that too, and will have effectively shot themselves in the head. Which, btw, is what too many of them are advocating for their political opponents.

Hey, everyone. Just wanted to ask you all to “hang in there” as the world goes to shit. Don’t worry about what’s going on, just get your own life in order. This world is only temporary.
Re: Generational Dynamics World View News
Good advice and it's not pleasant seeing all the doom and gloom actually happening before our eyes, out in the open. It was bad enough speculating about it. In some ways we were all in the boat with John as Cassandras. And just as the Trojan horse was let in through the gates, so too do our Generals and commanders now take orders from a foreign entity. We've let them in and now we're in what seems to be more than a 4th turning but rather something on a much larger scale. Sadly the desire to destroy everything in order to rebuild it has been taken up by both sides now. This is the madness that overtakes the minds of men and drives them to destruction.DaKardii wrote: Mon Oct 06, 2025 10:13 pm Hey, everyone. China Tariffs
Trump had to put a huge tariff on China due to their blockage of rare earth mineral exports. Hopefully the US can quickly ramp up, but the production would have to come out of California, which could be difficult. Maybe Trump could have the Federal Government seize the land and have normal rules and regulations cover the mines (rather than God only knows what California would do).
Also saw some funny bits on liberals screaming for a Gaza Cease Fire now saying nothing since Trump actually arranged this. Myself, I am waiting to see if Hamas actually releases prisoners. They have never lived up to a single agreement, so lets see what actually happens. Hoping for the best, expecting the worst.

I have been busy so haven't been able to post, glad to see Dakardi back. First on this both sides are violent thing please just stop it, it is overwhelmingly the left. I don't have much time to post but I saw the thing Navigator posted on the rare earths and having to source them from California. We can source them from Australia and there have been some recent discoveries of new deposits in other parts of the US which are more friendly to extraction than California as well as new companies that are extracting rare earths and other minerals from mine and desalination plant waste as well as from the waste of coal plants that generate electricity. The Australians have also made a new discovery of a massive iron deposit that is believed to be the largest deposit ever discovered. At the risk of sounding positive I would say that we are in better shape than what most people believe, that is not to say that there are not any tough times ahead, there certainly are but I am feeling better about our preparedness than what I was feeling years ago.
