Two year treasury rate broke out today. I had been posting this going back 3 years but changed it to 10 years for a better view of the current situation.

While the periphery breaks down rather slowly at first, the capital cities of the hegemon should collapse suddenly and violently.

Money is moving hot as we seen before.
Our discussion moved to sterilization effects.
I forwarded the charts to indicate this from wolfy
who indicated he wanted to wring some ignant necks.

You nailed the inventory issue dead center. Inputs costs will and are blowing up the unwary.
They are evil and stupid Marxists always a bad combo.

As noted in other words, revolving consumer credit was roughly flat with 13 years ago, despite 13 years of population growth and 40% inflation.
In real terms and per capita, it has become a sideshow.

I am an email friend with someone (in Germany or Austria...forget which). We disagree on some things (particularly abortion) but he had an interesting take on the Fed recently. He speculated that the Fed wants to engineer a deep recession to cut oil prices and hurt Russia as part of Cold War 2.
Comments?

I thought it was well known that the Fed follows the 2 year but looking around the Internet that isn't the case or, at least, those who know that mostly aren't talking about it. I found this video where Jeff Gundlach does say that and shows a chart proving it. He also makes comparisons to 2018.

Basically, since the 2 year is up over 1 percent since the interview was done in March, whereas the Fed was way behind the curve when Gundlach was interviewed, now the Fed is even further behind the curve.

The other thing that comes to mind is how steeply the 2 year has gone up over the past few months versus the years it took to get to 3 percent by 2018. That makes it harder for the Fed to adjust. Hypothetically, what would happen if the 2 year popped another 1 percent early next week? Would the Fed call an emergency meeting?

Odd that they think it is Jun 22 when my computer says Jun 12, but they do.
