Re: Financial topics
Thursday through Tuesday the strategy was for Higgenbotham to deliver death by 1000 cuts to the bots. 82 cuts have been delivered to the bots and Higgenbotham got cut 15 times for a net take of $2600 over 4 days. Today Higgenbotham will rest. Nancy Pelosi called Higgenbotham's office this week and pleaded with him to stop taking money from California bots, as tax revenue is needed to fight wildfires and keep PG&E afloat. Higgenbotham responded that if Silicon Valley knew how to hire and actually hired smart people who knew how to program bots and knew how to vote California would not be in the mess it is.

While the periphery breaks down rather slowly at first, the capital cities of the hegemon should collapse suddenly and violently.

This is the "AI Powered Equity ETF" year to date. It's the "Tudor in a Box" that's been discussed here and referred to as being the best bot or one of the best bots. It is now down on the year. Meanwhile, I've made money all through this year's volatility both long and short and am up substantially on the year. In fact, I haven't had a losing day on the long side of individual stocks (or anything else) since the market peaked in late September and early October.
Having said that, there certainly were days (maybe 3 days out of 30) where I could have lost money, but I turned it around and it didn't happen.
It appears to me that the AI bots are teaching themselves all the wrong things and this bot is attempting to operate as if it is still in a benign market environment.

Didn't you once say that you lost a lot of money for a couple of years
around 2013? I assume that you learned a great deal during that
period, and that you're able to apply that learning to the current
situation.
Tudor in a Box is less than a year old and, as you point out, it's
always been learning in a "benign market environment." It's possible
that Tudor in a Box is learning a great deal during the current
period, and will be able to apply that learning next year.
Tudor learned a lot during the Jan-Apr period earlier this year, and
seems to have applied that learning since then. Assuming that we're
all still alive a year from now, let's see if you're still beating
Tudor then.

Yes, I lost a great deal of money in 2012 and 2013 and am still eating through those losses. Decades of prior market experience did not prepare me for that unique environment. Centuries probably would not have, as I had also studied centuries of market history and still lost money.John wrote: Didn't you once say that you lost a lot of money for a couple of years

The actual breakthrough I made was to make a deal with a broker to get 10 years of commission free trades and to therefore be able to afford to trade on micro scales so that the 15-25% of the time I am wrong can be averaged out over hundreds of trades rather than being wrong once in the big picture and it costing me a lot of money over a couple years.
If AI really was powerful, it should be learning orders of magnitude faster than a human, both from actual trading experience and market history. Also, AI is already being touted as better than human intelligence in many aspects including trading, but that does not appear to be the case. I do believe, though, that AI could beat me in a self-contained game like chess or go no matter how hard I tried or how long I studied the game.

Also, Maggie Fox reported genetic study confirms theories that the global epidemic of HIV and AIDS started in New York around 1970, and it also clears the name of a gay flight attendant long vilified as being "Patient Zero."
Researchers got hold of frozen samples of blood taken from patients years before the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) that causes AIDS was ever recognized, and teased out genetic material from the virus from that blood.
Chances are patient zero never existed and the (((work))) still in cryo storage. 1959 pops up over and over on virus research from 1957 work.

I was fired, jailed, without cause, without hearing, without any civil rights at all, just drug out of my house in shackles one day, on November 18th, 2011, I refused to denounce the data, I refused to say it was a mistake, we have the data, I showed the data, I showed all of the data, and I just refused, they basically said tell everybody you made it all up, and you can go home. And if you don’t, we’ll destroy you. And they did.
Ironically, the FDA has now approved a testing protocol to detect retroviruses in the U.S. blood supply which is worth millions of dollars, and based in large part on Dr. Mikovits’ research, but it is being managed by Big Pharma.
