Why Can't the boomer Ruling Classes in Europe and the US admit that they don't have the consent of people/citizenry to implement the admission of the Refugees. The People have made their choice, let the refugees starve and/or remain in their own countries. The people have the right to have their own prejudices. I think you're overusing the "boomer" epithet a bit.

It's not the boomers, per se, that are for "open borders". It's the would-be one-party-state slavers ("bad" democrats and "bad" non-populist republicans) who count on "keeping" masses of immigrants as captive voters and servile workers.
