They have even presumed to parade themselves as a nation who trusts in God.

And it is just one month.

But the rate of purchase by the Fed is over 600 Billion a year, if that truly was all Treasury debt, and not mostly MBS, that is a substantial increase.

If, on the other hand, all increases in total U.S. Government public traded debt are, over the next few years being absorbed with printed money from the FED, that would be historic.

And things would be moving at warp speed compared to what I expected.

Obama delays starting Air Craft Carrier refueling - hurting military readiness.


The Obama administration has elected to delay starting Nuclear Aircraft Carrier refueling ( which is already budgeted for ), blaming budget uncertainty ( about future budgets ) for the decision.

While Obama could have chosen to go ahead and start this critical path refueling operation, and trust that he could ( in the event sequestration is not avoided ) continue refueling by executive order, or by special purpose legislation, Obama elected instead to delay this critical refueling operation.

This one time decision will permanently reduce U.S. readiness to fight a war in the months and years to come, regardless of what now happens with sequestration.

[Reality Check]

As shown by the above post, Obama is beginning to use the threat of future budget uncertainty, as an excuse not to spend already budgeted money, in such a way, that military capability that has already been paid for is permanently reduced.

The U.S. executive branch will always have a choice as to where to spend the over 90% of the Budget Spending not under threat from sequestration.

By consciously choosing to selectively fail to fund maintenance items that can NOT be funded later, Obama is consciously electing to permanently downsize the U.S. military capabilities, when such downsizing would not have occured without he, Obama, withholding already budgeted money to do so.

Obama's excuse for withholding already budgeted money, is that he, Obama, might elect in the future, to not spend part of the 90% of the planned spending not threatened by sequestration on a critical maintenance need.

This is either pure politics, a clear intent to irrevocably, and without input from the elected representatives of the American people, permanently cripple the military capabilities the American people have already paid for, or both.
