NATO insiders are seeing a lot of stuff that is secret about Russia that is scarring the heck out of them. I have seen reports from high ranking British, Dutch, Polish, Danish, and other nationality General Officers saying similar things to what you heard.

When the Russians started showing almost unfathomable incompetence in invading Ukraine, I wrote that this was similar to the USSR invasion of Finland in 1939, and that it would take the Russians a couple of years to sort out their military. I have seen numerous reports saying that they have made significant progress.

Our funding of Ukraine's efforts are crucial. The pro-Trump nut jobs in congress who tried to block this are completely out of touch with reality/history.
Too bad the white boys have decided to sit this one out. I am not going to figjt for country that hate me.
THIS.
The Dems are about to find out that no one cares. That is, the people that actually fight in wars don't care anymore and won't fight for the country.

It seems like most white people have just given up.

The migrants are going to be in for a shock when the welfare system goes down :)
The Russians have broken through Ukrainian lines in several areas. Europe dithered and now they will have to fight the Russians in the streets of their own countries.

Question: what are the tens of millions of military age illegal migrants going to be doing while all of this is going on?

Yeah, you got it...

Would raising the interest rate to 10% stop inflation?

The short answer is yes. 10% interest rates, with no accompanying stimulus or other off setting spending, would put a halt to our current round of inflation.

However, high rates can only cure inflation the same way that a bullet can cure a fever. Once the patient is dead, they will cool down pretty rapidly.

Paul Volker did it. Why not do it now?

Interest rates cannot be raised due to the MOUNTAIN of government debt. When Volker raised rates in the early 1980s the national debt was something like $500B. Today we are on our way to $35 Trillion. So literally 70 times worse.

If interest rates go up, the Federal government would have to pay that rate of interest on its $35T of debt. It does not have the means to do this.

This is why there is no solution to the mess we are in. The only solution would be to SLASH almost all outlays and pay down debt. But there are so many large entitlement programs (not to mention Social Security and Defense) that it is politically impossible.

There are serious problems for the Ukrainians, but no real deep breakthroughs.

HOWEVER - Russia has reconstituted its Army and has seriously ramped up its military production. Russian troops are now "battle-hardened" and the pictures/ videos I have seen lately no longer show people with outdated equipment and ragged uniforms. Putin has moved someone into the defense ministry he considers his "Albert Speer" to continue to ramp up production.

Russia in 1939/40 looked like a bad joke. By 1942/3 it was a different story. We have just about given them the same amount of time. China, meanwhile, is giving them the financial means to not only survive, but to dramatically increase armament factory staffing and production.

Warfare today is a mixture of 1917 and modern drones. It does not look like anyone can make major breakthroughs, but Ukraine is being ground down. They are running short of ammunition, especially the artillery ammunition I have expounded upon in the past. They are also running short of manpower, and it seems that their 20 year olds are about as committed to national defense survival as those in the rest of Europe.

Liberal Hypocracy

Post by Navigator »

Just saw this great video on how the "Blue States", those completely controlled by the US Democratic party, utterly fail in all of the "liberal" theories that they espouse.

This video was actually made by the NY Times Editorial Dept.

It is actually liberals pointing out that liberals are a bunch of hypocrites, and that when they have absolute power (as they do in the Blue states, as the republicans in those states are powerless to pass laws or veto bills), they actually make things WORSE.

Worth a look just so that you can laugh at them the next time they make one of their arguments about how they are prevented from establishing Utopia (as they see it).

Artists and writers in the late 19th century feared the 20th century; they foresaw that it would herald the rise of the machine. Thomas Hardy saw the rise of the machine as the death knell for the pastoral life; machines negate the need for humans to toil the land. Tolkien saw firsthand the horror of mechanised warfare. In the 21st century we have the drone - the hunter is now the hunted. Soldiers in trenches, walkers disobeying Covid law in the middle of nowhere, no one is safe from the eye in the sky. I recently had the misfortune to see the film ‘Civil War’. The thing that didn’t make sense the most about that depiction of a war (and there was no shortage of choice) was the total absence of the use of drones….as you say, this machine is how war is waged now.

This is it. This is what Warren Pollock (the former Youtuber that led me here in 2010) called the "dirt nap". America is already in a breakdown crisis. In a fractured country like America, it will be every man for himself. Unless you can assemble your own "tribe". Choose its members carefully. (Avoid DEI)

Any recommendations on which countries Americans can escape to?
