Putin's speeches in the last week have not shown any signs of being
"surgical." Putin's speeches sound as insane and fanatical as
Hitler's did. It will not take much for the war to spread from
Ukraine to Nato.
You're delusional. You want to be right about your war prediction and it's showing, with major emotion.
Insane and fanatical.
That's why Snake Island was lie and no energy transport from Russia is stopping, right? Great sanctions, John. What a "war"
It's a bad circumstance for Ukraine, who was used by the West as a pawn, and whose fault this is. Ask University of Chicago's John Mearsheimer, he saw this coming in 2015 - this is going to end badly for the Ukraine, and it's the west's fault. But hey, Hunter needed that 88k a month, right John?

The Chinese government has announced military exercises in the South China Sea from Sunday through Tuesday.
Now is their chance to make a move.

You called Snowden "a traitor", in fact, you called him "just a traitor" in 2013.
Once again, you were right. You took an unpopular stance at that time, but you were right.
Edward Snowden shows his true colors by applying for Russian citizenship
It looks like Russian autocrat Vladimir Putin is finally making the adoption of his stray pet official: Edward Snowden announced Sunday that he plans to apply for Russian citizenship.
The former National Security Agency contractor, who stole vast amounts of top-secret data, then fled first to China, then Russia, has been hiding out in Moscow for seven years to avoid standing trial on espionage charges in America.
He downloaded an estimated 1.5 million documents, including info that would allow the recipients to avoid NSA surveillances, according to one of his press confidantes. No wonder Putin shields him.
His girlfriend joined him in 2014; they married in 2017 and are expecting a son who’ll be a Russian citizen by birthright. That’s Snowden’s rationale now: He says he fears being separated from his newborn (by who?) if their citizenships aren’t the same.
Russia recently eased its citizenship laws, removing the requirement that you renounce citizenship of any other country. Snowden says the couple plan to raise their son “with the values of the America we love” and “look forward to the day” they can return to the United States. Well, maybe a President Joe Biden will grant a pardon.
In 2014, Snowden did a televised Q&A with Putin to deliver a softball question about Russian surveillance that was scripted by the president’s advisers. The American later expressed regret for letting himself be used for propaganda, yet he has stayed comfortably settled in Moscow.
He also denies handing the Russian and Chinese governments any confidential info — so far. Can he keep that up, once he’s literally pledged loyalty to the Russian state? At a minimum, he’ll find it even harder to convince anyone that his loyalties still lie with the nation he betrayed.

Across social media coming out of Ukraine are videos of abandoned Russian trucks, jeeps, armored BMPs and even rocket artillery trucks. The Russians ran out of petrol and simply walked away. Russia can't supply its troops with petrol. Who planned this operation?

A bit like Hitler and his inner circle in his bunker, moving pins around a map that in no way reflected the reality of the situation.
If the Ukrainians are as determined not to give in, as they appear to be, the Russians having their troops enter the cities, rather than a sign of success, will be the beginning of a nightmare for them. If they stand back and seek to pulverise the cities with bombs and shells, the carnage will harden the attitude of the international community and enhance support for Ukraine.
Tanks and aircraft are of limited use in city fighting, as it becomes a war of attrition, man against man in the streets and rubble. It is also likely that modern effective weapons will increasingly find their way from the West into the hands of the defenders, from across the boarders.
In such a situation motivation becomes all important. It is unlikely the average Russian grunt will be anything like as motivated as an Ukrainian citizen soldier fighting for his city. This is for certain not going to be quick or a cake walk for Russia.

Ichkeria leader Ahmed Zakayev has offered Zelensky to sign an agreement on military cooperation, thanks to which Chechen volunteers from Europe and Ukraine itself will fight against Russia.
It is important to note that more than 300,000 Chechens live in Europe
Many Chechens have been fighting against Russia in Ukraine since 2014.
