Only some whites are white supremacists. Many religious fanatics attempt to impose European religious doctrines on those who do not share them. As a result the abortion question looks to give the Democrats a lot of votes. I thought I was against the overturn of Roe, but there sure is an unintended consequence.
The white supremacists are also pressing their prejudices, attempting to keep their place in controlling government when they are no longer the majority. The Generational Dynamics instinct to hate, oppress and use violence against those who are different has become a Republican calling card. They need gerrymandering, filibuster, and the like to maintain the power they covet in order to oppress others.
This is not to mention other issues I consider crisis issues. Covid, spree killing and insurrection cost lives as well as votes. Now I agree we have immigration, crime and drug problems. Not easy. The Republican response? Defund the Department of Justice, FBI and police?
In terms of bankrupting the country, Bidenomics included a bill which would create jobs and at the same time rebuild necessary bridges, roads and other infrastructure. The resulting projects now getting underway are in red states and blue. The odd thing is that the Republicans are taking credit for it, even if they are on the record as voting against it. The House of Representatives is supposed to be responsible for all spending. They aren’t of late. They have
no economic policy. The Republicans are much more concerned with Hunter’s laptop than America. Bidenomics is the only alternative. Of course, the Republicans have to claim credit for it while at the same time fighting it.
And here I am observing a bunch of conservative predict doom and collapse. Well, of course. A crisis in America has always resulted in a collapse of conservative thought. You have to be a progressive to cheer on the new birth of freedom.
