They ate what they took that wasn't theirs and now they have to grow their own food or starve.
This is how communism ends.

The locusts who mocked us will have many names.
We simply used Legion.

Nicholas Rubashov, an aging revolutionary, is imprisoned and psychologically tortured by the party he has devoted his life to.
Under mounting pressure to confess to crimes he did not commit, Rubashov relives a career that embodies the ironies and betrayals of a revolutionary dictatorship that believes it is an instrument of liberation.

A seminal work of twentieth-century literature, Darkness At Noon.

U.S. farmers planted nearly 5 million fewer acres of corn this spring.

They will fall like leaves. Famine will rip those places to shreds as we have trended.
They are whistling past the grave yard from designs they imposed.

My theory is that because income taxes, mortgages, and rents have been delayed, and unemployment currently pays better than employment for many people, you have people doing "short term investing". They think they will put the extra cash flow into the stock market till they need it a few months later. But investing is a long term thing. This short term "investing" is really, "gambling with the mortgage money". It seems many of these people don't have any real experience investing in the stock market, they are new "Robinhood traders". As they have to go back to paying their mortgages, taxes, and rent, a bunch of them will need to sell their stocks. My bet is that gambling with the mortgage money will turn out to have been a very bad move.

thread: march sweeps

Since Dunoyer incorporated Sismondi's theory into the Sayardian conception of political economy in which men have to adapt
their behaviour to the nature of things, or suffer the consequences.
The government of that nation allowed the people to talk about public affairs, but not to understand them.
Political Economy by J.C.L. Simonde de Sismondi (1815)

I think march sweeps saved a few.
The normalcy bias of the Beast.

Übermensch also has been interpreted as a temporary state,
or event, of the multiple wills to power composing this "individual fiction".

Watching in real time underscores the simple realism of this window.

There's another video. He stopped. They tried to drag him out of the car to beat him to death.
He drove away and waited on the side of the road.
