Though I've never been active on this site, I have followed John's work for about the last ten years. Reading John's books and analysis has had a great influence on myself and those close to me. John will be missed.

Jason, thank you for keeping the site running. I hope you and yours are doing well.

I just saw this now. John's work greatly effected how I see the world and I miss reading his columns. He was incredibly insightful and ahead of his time. I am sorry for your loss.

For some strange reason I started thinking about John. I knew that he had been sick and looked him up to find an obituary. I came here and noticed Jason's post that he had passed. My deepest condolences to Jason and the rest of John's family. I read Strauss and Howe's The Fourth Turning and somehow ended up in John's world. For many years his words were the first thing I read in the morning. He was brilliant and his understanding of history and generational dynamics were discerning and insightful. I look at the world very differently because of him, and his book Generational Dynamics sits proudly on my bookshelf. He will be missed.
