Primarily:

Decline in birth rates similar to what preceded 1929 and 1966 tops.
FAGIX VUSTX ratio indicates lack of confidence similar to 2007 onset of stock market decline.
During and after the last crisis, there was a lot of discussion about liquidity versus solvency. Based on the number of zombie companies and poor corporate credit, this crisis is going to be about solvency. While this isn't measurable and comparable as far as pinpointing the approximate place for a stock market top, as the items quoted above are, it definitely is another big picture item to take into consideration.

And these items are all things the Fed can't control. They can control liquidity, but not birthrates, credit spreads, or solvency.

While the periphery breaks down rather slowly at first, the capital cities of the hegemon should collapse suddenly and violently.

BBVA is full of Turkish longs. BBVA under performing the European Bank index.

Then they say to hell with them who had no plan.

The company is a constituent of the IBEX 35 and Euro Stoxx 50 stock market index.

There are many forces at work causing the retail apocalypse, but it really boils down to the fact that the rents are WAY too high. There are very few businesses which can profit at the levels they're at. There was a situation in SF where an owner was renting a small store space on a month to month basis to a guy who makes t-shirts for 1/3 of the so-called "market rate" until they could find a permanent tenant. They have not found one. What it shows is that the "market rate" is delusional, but the problem is that the owners paid WAY too much for the property, and when you buy at bubble prices, you have to try to charge bubble prices to recoup that investment, but the math does not work for the retail businesses. Many try and fail, as you are witnessing here. Now the owners are looking for some sucker to take this underperforming asset off their hands. Not gonna happen.

This can all be traced back to the Federal Reserve's cheap money and their asset price bubbles. They have bastardized the economy to a point where nothing makes financial sense anymore. From businesses to consumers, everybody is up to their eyeballs in debt, and there's no way out. This is going to end in a spectacular crash.
Excellent comment under this video where the empty retail space in Rancho Mirage, California is shown.

We need deflation.

basically said the same thing.
The toxic combination of religious and economic hatred led to a breakdown in relationships based on you guessed it, debt and interest.
When you work for nothing you will get the full effect of deflation since the ship is sailed by mad men.
Managed debt is as almost pregnant.

Reminds me. From 2012.

When the trucks no longer run east or west.
As it was noted the mid west was wiped out in many areas.
We mentioned it and when these fly over have no to lose the left and right coast will finally lose it.
