1. Small and Micro businesses have cut 40% jobs in one month since Nov. 8. There is no liquidity for them.
2. Trade is also down by about 40%.
3. Construction Industry virtually stopped. This Industry employs most informal labor.
4. In India only 6% of Labor force is in formal sector. 94% are in informal sector (cash based).
5. Since Nov. 8, 10 million laborers have lost their jobs. It is increasing daily.
6. Indian informal labor numbering about 100 million make less than 290 USD per month.
7, Most laid off laborers have gone back to their villages.
8. New notes of about 4 trillion Rupees issued since Nov. 8 have not reached the needy people. They have been hoarded by the well off who had first and easy access to new notes.
9. The prices of Vegetables, Fruits and Cereals have crashed as customers are preserving new cash.
10. Farmers are under heavy stress due to non off take and non availability of new cash in non urban areas.
11. CNBC just reported that out of 14.5 trillion notes demonetized, 14 trillion has come back. I will not be surprised if more than 14.5 comes back considering fakes, since most banks lack note checkers.
12. There is a rumor going around that Govt. will shortly announce cash holding limits inside households (like they did for Gold holdings in households)
