The inescapable direction of Western Civilization is DOWN while, at the same time, the people primarily responsible for leading it downward are looking UP, acting as if election outcomes can change the downward direction. All the election outcomes have done for the past decade or two is change the path of the downward direction.

Clumsy corporate ducks are waddling 24 hours per day 7 days per week. Their ill-gotten money, corrupt lobbyists and revolving door parasites never sleep. It reminds me of when the wife of an alcoholic I knew came into the kitchen, slammed a case of beer down on the kitchen table which he was sitting at, looked at me and announced, "BEER is the only thing keeping this man alive!"
