Well, there is one pro-Democrat propaganda machine that actually had something important to say yesterday:

Ukraine War Plans Leak Prompts Pentagon Investigation
https://www.nytimes.com/2023/04/06/us/p ... ussia.html

Note the key part: the actual ratio of Russian casualties to Ukrainian casualties is about 1:4.5 in Russia's favor, not the 2:1 favoring Ukraine that the "officials" made up. And they are, of course, trying to pass off the real numbers as "disinformation" while attempting in vain to scrub the leak from social media.

Russia is winning the war. And our government can no longer stop us from knowing it.
Not so fast...

It sounds like the Russians altered the numbers and then released the file.

If the Russians are 'winning', why are they still losing ground?
The analysts warned that documents released by Russian sources could be selectively altered to present the Kremlin’s disinformation.

“Whether these documents are authentic or not, people should take care with anything released by Russian sources,” said Michael Kofman, the director of Russian studies at CNA, a research institute in Arlington, Virginia.

One of the slides said 16,000 to 17,500 Russian soldiers had been killed while Ukraine had suffered as many as 71,500 troop deaths. The Pentagon and other analysts have estimated that Russia has suffered far more casualties, and that closer to 200,000 soldiers on each side had been killed or wounded.

Nonetheless, analysts said parts of the documents appeared authentic and provide Russia with valuable information such as the timetables for the delivery of weapons and troops, Ukrainian troop buildup numbers and other military details.

Russia is losing ground?
Yeah. Where have you been? They have lost Kherson and Ulraine has recaptured parts of Bakhmut. That is why the Russia army is shifting away from it.

Sorry to be the one to break the bad news to you.

This is what happens when you watch RT television all day.

The Russians have claimed to have taken Bakhmut or were on the verge of it several times. The city is holding out. Ukrainian confidence is growing.

Russia is losing ground?

The Russians have claimed to have taken Bakhmut or were on the verge of it several times. The city is holding out. Ukrainian confidence is growing.
From the video description (in case some fail to notice it).
There is a tale Ukrainian soldiers tell when discussing Russia’s perception that it is winning the war.
It goes like this: “One man is 75-years-old, another is 85. The older man tells his friend that he sleeps with a different woman every day. The younger man repeats the old man’s antics to another group of friends, expecting them to be impressed, but they just smile.”
Tihran, a 53-year-old soldier who is telling the story, takes a long drag of his cigarette.
“They smile because they know his old friend is lying,” he says. “Anyone can say what they want, it doesn’t mean it’s true.”

Earlier this week Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Wagner militia group and a close ally of President Putin, claimed his men had made significant gains in the Ukrainian stronghold of Bakhmut, a city that has been utterly devastated by the invasion as Russian forces have closed in on three sides.

In an effort to bolster his assertions Prigozhin, who recruited the majority of his fighters from Russian prisons, announced a Russian flag had been raised over the city’s administration building – a seemingly premature declaration the Ukrainians soon put paid to.
Serhiy Cherevatyi, a spokesman for Ukraine's eastern military command, said: “Bakhmut is Ukrainian and they have not captured anything and are very far from doing that, to put it mildly.”

This unequivocal sentiment has been echoed by the soldiers defending Bakhmut.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, less than 10km from the front line, Tihran and his colleague, Bohdan, found Russia’s claims amusing.
“That isn’t true, we hold Bakhmut,” they responded, adding that the prospect of Russia taking the city was not something they were unduly “worried” about.

“The Russians can talk all they want but we hold Bakhmut and their happiness won’t last long,” Tihran said.
While the soldiers were limited for security reasons on what they could say about the fight for Bakhmut, they described the situation as both “hot” and “extreme”, conceding that within the city remained “a lot of Russians”.

Their comments were supported by the sound of outgoing gunfire that permeated the sky as the soldiers spoke to The Telegraph from their hide-out in Chasiv Yar, a neighbouring town west of Bakhmut that has enhanced its defences to prevent the Russians advancing.
“We can tell you we are doing enough rotations to Bakhmut to keep it,” Bohdan, 20, unflinchingly added.
Despite their relaxed demeanour, the days are long and the soldiers holding this critical point are vigilant in their duties.
“One mistake can take your life,” Bohdan said.
“We need to keep an eye on everything.”
I can't understand the ultra-right admiration for Putin. He's just a common thief. Why do some in America and Western Europe view him as a savior? You tell me...

You won't listen or read what we are saying. He is not a savior. Only Jesus Christ saves. No one called Mr. Putin that, because we know better.

What you fail to recognize is how the USA and west promote a culture of degeneracy and death, and try to distract or outright pay you to dismiss its evil leaders and origins. You are a slave to materialism and their hamster cycle. That is the point. And the lie is crumbling, because your standard of living isn't going to last that much longer. Nor will mine. But I'm honest about things ... which is the problem currently with you and a lot on this site. They don't understand faith or the evil powers or principalities of the world, and who is in league with them. They love mammon more than God.

And Putin, someone with multiple children from multiple women who lives in a billion dollar palace with a stripper pole mounted in a velvet lined room with hookah pipes is morally upright? You know what the Russians say about Putin and little boys? Russia is a land of prostitutes, casinos, and strip clubs. How are the Russians better than us?
