"Stay off their lawn too!" John, you are the only poster worth reading now, what a strange collective has gathered at this formerly interesting site. And now you've embraced rap!
Buddhism is just another form of Cope. Born from the guilt of a rich dude, just like now with millions of Westerners, wracked with guilt for the sins of their fathers and guilty of having a comfortable lifestyle, trying to cope through various mental gymnastics. Just like Siddhartha.

The path to Truth is only through the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

You'll never achieve Enlightenment.

** 03-Feb-2021 World View: Memri: Turkey, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, China - new alliance

According to a new Memri analysis, there a new alliance has emerged
in the Mideast and Asia -- Turkey, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, China --
versus its enemies, the US and India, as well as Armenia. The
recent Nagorno-Karabakh war has made this alliance apparent.

The report designates Iran and Russia as being undecided, but as I've
written many times, these two countries are historically pro-Western,
with China as an enemy, and any alliance with China is for transient
political purposes only.

Turkey is now Pakistan's second-largest arms supplier, after China.
There have also been hints of Pakistan-Turkey nuclear cooperation.

Although Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been a critic of China in the past,
because of China's treatment of Uighurs, which is a Turkic ethnic
group, Erdogan has now apparently become a useful idiot for the China,
appeasing and paying homage to China in return for trade and missile
technology. Turkey is learning from China, and following in
Pakistan's footsteps in eventually acquiring nuclear missile
technology.

China – And Its Enemies – The U.S. and India

Right now, three countries are competing for control of the Muslim world: Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Iran. These countries absolutely hate each other's guts, and are preparing for war with each other. The war they are preparing to fight likely will take place at the same time as the Chinese-American war; the two conflicts thus likely will merge.

In this conflict, China has no choice but to back Turkey. It cannot consider either Saudi Arabia or Iran to be reliable allies because the former is closely allied with the US and the latter is closely allied with Russia. Iran is also a major enemy of Pakistan, China's closest ally. Turkey on the other hand is a major enemy of Russia, and in recent years its formerly close relations with the US have severely deteriorated because of the US' decision to back Saudi Arabia in the conflict (a decision motivated by both the petrodollar and the potential threat Turkey poses to the American foreign policy establishment's agenda in Central Asia).

It's probably millions in absolute terms, but I don't think all that many westerners, percentage-wise, are actually "wracked with guilt." Granted, I live in a blue-ish city in a red state, but at least 80-90% of the people I come in contact with just wonder why the crazies are getting all the attention. And I suspect many of the remaining 10-20% are just afraid to admit they think the same thing.

The one thing that I would definitely add to this is that Saudi Arabia
is a close ally of Pakistan and China, and has been for some time.
What's new in the Memri report is that Turkey is now apparently firmly
within that group.

For a long time, I've debated which way Turkey was going to go. They
have a marriage of convenience with Russia in Syria and Libya,
although that pretty much fell apart during the Nagorno-Karabakh war.
Turkey is a member of Nato, which means that they're supposed to be a
US ally, but few people believe that any more. Turkey was having
trouble with China, because China is committing genocide and ethnic
cleansing of the Kazakhs and Uighurs, which are Turkic ethnic groups.
But China has used its usual policy of bribery and extortion to bring
Turkey around to its side. Even so, I still have to hedge a little
bit. For example, tensions are very high in Central Asia, and if
there's a war between, say, China and Kazakhstan, then Turkey may have
to come in on the side of its Turkic brothers.

** 03-Feb-2021 World View: Idiotic young people

I received the following e-mail message to day from a high school
teacher. The school is open because it's a private school, not
run by bloated, abusive, greedy teachers unions, who care about
no one but themselves.

This message has caused me to change my opinion about snowflakes.

In the past, I've criticized snowflakes because they're too stupid to
find China on a map, since they know nothing except what they've
learned in Women's Studies and Sociology classes.

Now I realize that I've been too kind. Snowflakes are so stupid that
they don't know anything at all. No matter what an unbelievable idiot
AOC is, and proves it every time she opens her mouth, I now realize
that she is brilliant compared to the rest of the snowflakes that
are running the country in the Biden administration.

We’re so stupid, yet somehow recognized the absolute bullshit of hedge funds shorting 140% of available shares for a company, “colluded” to destroy the hedge funds, and exposed how corrupt the “evil Gen-x” (as you put it John) financial system is, along with Yellen’s complete conflict of interest. I found your explanation for ‘09 hysterical, “boomers were tricked!” Like no fucking boomer was smart enough or cares enough to take charge of the “evil Gen-X financial people.” Tell me who fucked the boomers over in 2000 with the dot.com bubble? I’ll assume it’s Gen-X and their “fancy do nothing web companies” that were the cause of that also. I’d love to know if Gen-X was also the ones who forced boomers to buy shit companies like GE at $54/shares.

We’re also the idiots who will apparently fight the war against China, unify the country, and save the free world. Don’t worry, we’ll also pay for you boomers to have your social security and Medicare. After all, it’s only ourselves to blame that we’re idiots and aren’t taught anything of value in school. Must’ve been the “evil Gen-Xers” who screwed us over.

My culture might be absolute shit, but it’s the evolution of the boomer bullshit. You sowed the seeds and now get to see the fruits. I wouldn’t worry about the children of zoomers having children, they aren’t reproducing. Hopefully the third world Joe is importing will enjoy the husk that’s America, they have the boomers to thank for that gift.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

In case you're too young to know what a clock is, here's a picture of
one:

In this case, the big hand is on the 2 and the little hand is on the 10.
