I don't know. Ask Markowski, who made the prediction.

By the way, in your discussion in the other thread, do either of you
realize that you're completely talking past each other, and neither of
you is making sense, because the two of you are referring to
completely different meanings of the word "He"?

Now, the military has staged a coup and wants to take the reins of government for a year in order to reform, among other things, the electoral commission. Article 417 of the constitution justifies the coup, allowing the military to take power if a state of emergency threatens the sovereignty or unity of the country. The military considers itself to be in the right. However, the coup amounts to the improbable principle of the military having to abolish democracy in order to save it.
To quote the anon who posted this link on 8kun, "The similarities to the bullshit happening here are off the charts."

** 02-Feb-2021 World View: Reddit stocks crashing

Gamestop, AMC, Blackberry, and other shorted stocks in the Reddit
revolution are all crashing this morning. We'll soon start hearing
news stories about how a lot of snowflakes have been financially
destroyed. But I'm sure it felt good while it lasted.

It may have to do with getting more Chinese infrastructure into Myanmar faster. China may want multiple potential vectors towards India. They can't really go over the mountains. The link with Pakistan is a perilous two lane road. But then Myanmar isn't much better. They need a rail line through the old Burma Road area, which will take quite a while to construct. Until then, the links with Myanmar are also nothing more than poor and winding two land roads. And the path from Myanmar into India is extremely difficult terrain, as evidenced by the Japanese campaign from there into India (or the English from India into Burma). There are no real good ways through this area (look at the Japanese Imphal/Kohima campaign of 1944, this area has not had much infrastructure improvement since then).

"The Burmese hatred of the Rohingyas is not rare. That kind of ethnic hatred is common in several countries today and recently. It's the rule. It's the Chinese hatred of Uighurs. It's the Zimbabwe Shona hatred of the Nbdele. It's the Syrian Alawite hatred of Arab Sunnis. It's the Rwandan Hutu hatred of Tutsis. It's the Nazi hatred of Jews. In America today, it's the Democrats' hatred of the 74 million Tea Partiers and Trump supporters, as I described at length in "12-Jan-21 World View -- America and the standard Genocide Playbook".

You failed to include the orthodox (devout) Muslim hatred and killing of anyone who is not Islamic or Islamic enough and their general supremacist predisposition. Could that possibly be why China and Myanmar go after these people so viciously?

Looks like the pump and dump is ending. I wonder if the people realizing huge losses will still feel good about sticking it to the man.

The Zoomer Madd Ladds aren't going to sweat losing their 3 whole shares of Gamestonks. Mommy's ONE whole share won't devastate Billy and leave him traumatized for life. You guys are just trying to salve your own market incompetence by saying "told you so", when they knew the risks all along and just didn't care. They used their $1200 stimulus or Starbucks wages to buy it. No career-aged GenZ or Millennials joined the frenzy to any degree. Not understanding the demographic of the Chad gamerz who pulled this off shows you have no idea what just happened.

John often criticizes "experts" and world leaders for not knowing anything about what's going on or how the world works, yet you guys are guilty of the same in this instance.

Their success is monumental, they devastated $Billion dollar hedge funds for the lulz. Whatever small pittance they lost of money-printer-go-brrr was worth the price of admission and will have zero impact on their future other than the memories.

Because the "lulz" is worth losing money over to make a blip in the balance sheet of giant companies. In six months the only affect will be on individual investors, not the traders or the management who will still take home their big pots of money.

it was a stupid Ponzi scheme that benefited the people in at the start and left huge losses for the idiots who piled on afterwards just like every other pump and dump. But at least those guys don't claim any other goal than making $$$.
