I worked in a small rural town for a major oil company, plastics packaging producer and I took the plans and specifications for a major expansion into the city building department. The new checker wanted to use the rate they charge the homeowner for a 200 amp panel for our expansion which called for a new 2500 kva transformer and an upgrade of an existing 1500 to 2000 kva to power the equipment in 2 new buildings. I tried to reason with her but left with this hundred thousand dollar per fee invoice. I called my boss in NY, the architect in Atlanta and the plant manager. The plant manager called the mayor and told him we were deciding to expand elsewhere because of the fee. After calls to him from the architect all was resolved; she was removed and I paid the $5,000. fee for all permits.

Simplified Process Certified Inverter only 20 kW AC.
When a proposed DER interconnection is moved into a different track, additional information may be
requested and additional fees may apply.
