Financial topics
Re: Financial topics
As we noted in 1996 bluntly the effect we see today is that it took twice as long as we assumed so we where half as smart as we thought on
the time it took to get here. This was the fiber optic ring project and the ability to safely utilize it.
Essentially we where and found correct. Most of them it will take another decade to figure out what happened the last decade.
I sold in 1996 since the future was seen.
Amos clearly shows that our nations are headed along the same path to destruction as ancient Israel. There is still hope that we will turn around and avoid the wrath of God, but as each day passes, it becomes more unlikely. We have many lessons to learn, and we seem determined to learn them the hard way.
As for the blind who think "those" people are the problem you have learned very little.
All I can say was the window is here and we are not blamed since we sent the message.
5. Sidetrack opponents with name calling and ridicule. This is also known as the primary ‘attack the messenger’ ploy, though other methods qualify as variants of that approach. Associate opponents with unpopular titles such as ‘kooks’, ‘right-wing’, ‘liberal’, ‘left-wing’, ‘terrorists’, ‘conspiracy buffs’, ‘radicals’, ‘militia’, ‘racists’, ‘religious fanatics’, ‘sexual deviates’, and so forth. This makes others shrink from support out of fear of gaining the same label, and you avoid dealing with issues.

I think his wrath was tempered on us from this in my opinion only.
The watchmen will not be held to account on some issues.

The company had urged everyone within a mile and a half of the plant to evacuate, and shut down a stretch of Highway 90 that runs alongside the plant, which produces organic peroxides for things like acrylic-based paint.
Industrial chemical manufacturer Arkema SA said early Thursday it has been notified about two explosions and black smoke coming from its plant in Crosby, Texas, after flooding due to Tropical Storm Harvey.
The Arkema plant some 25 miles northeast of Houston, was evacuated late Tuesday, as the company said it had “no way to prevent” a potentially large explosion or fire as a result of the shutdown of critical refrigeration of some materials. wsj

A sheriff’s deputy was among those taken to the hospital after inhaling fumes, according to a tweet from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. Nine other deputies drove themselves to the hospital as a precaution.

Air pollution control equipment at the Crosby plant uses state of the art technology, meeting the US EPA criteria for best available control technology (BACT) and considerably reduces emissions from the facility, allowing the plant to achieve greater than 99.5% destruction of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), while scrubbers remove 99%+ of SO2 and acid gases.

The company said it opted not to move chemicals before the storm but made extensive preparations.

MSRs are walk-away safe. They cannot melt down as can conventional reactors because they are molten by design. An operator cannot even force an MSR to overheat. If for some reason an MSR were to overheat, the heat would melt a freeze-plug at the bottom of the reactor vessel and the liquid fuel salts would drain into the emergency cooling tanks where it would cool and solidify. No operator interaction nor even emergency backup power is needed for this to happen.

Colonial Pipeline says it will shut its main diesel and jet fuel line tonight and its gasoline line tomorrow from the Gulf coast to the eastern U.S. because of outages at its supply points and a lack of supply from refiners due to Tropical Storm Harvey.
Colonial is the biggest U.S. refined products system, and feeds markets such as New York, Washington and Atlanta; it is owned by Koch Industries, South Korea’s National Pension Service, Royal Dutch Shell (RDS.A, RDS.B) and others.
Of the 26 refineries connected to the Colonial system, 13 are located between Houston and Lake Charles, La.
Kinder Morgan (NYSE:KMI) says its 700K bbl/day Plantation Pipeline system, which originates in Louisiana and ends in the D.C., area, remains fully operational. sa

The Department of Energy authorizes the release of 500K barrels of crude oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to Phillips 66′s (NYSE:PSX) refinery in Lake Charles, La., the first emergency release in the wake of Tropical Storm Harvey but likely not the last.
The "emergency exchange agreement," which includes 200K barrels of sweet crude and 300K barrels of sour crude oil, suggests the PSX refinery is facing a shortfall of crude, with ports and pipelines shut due to Harvey. sa

The 603K bbl/day Motiva refinery in Port Arthur, Tex., was fully shut yesterday due to flooding from Tropical Storm Harvey.
Crude oil and gasoline prices are spiking: WTI crude +2.8% at $47.24/bbl, Brent +2% at $51.83/bbl, RBOB gasoline +11.7% at $2.1065/gal.
47.xx support maybe

Re: Financial topics
552 refineries and Petrochemical Plants from just below Corpus Christi to the area of Louisiana affected by Hurricane Harvey. Many were forced to shut down for Safety or Product Supply reasons. It's too early to predict the impacts on gasoline supply or the price of Crude Oil.
Motiva finally closed after they planned to operate at a reduced rate. Now that they are down, they will be able to do some "turnaround related" work. They will restart (along with a dozen or so large refineries) after they have a chance to straighten out employee & supply issues. randy
Seven weeks of lean information will eat seven weeks of margin. Preserve capital since dry powder is self explanatory.

50%+ of your income since day one of your working life, it's not looking for a handout.
Maybe the owner of the vineyard is putting them down for good.
We only mentioned the window looked open.
That window was effectively mentioned opening. To a viable extent now we will see what direction that breeze indeed was.
That basement scene I was given clarifies a thought, for now only. Mon Apr 24, 2017 6:43 pm

The first look probably should be at Chinese data, rather than that of the U.S., but traders are slow to change their habits. Also, Chinese data are released monthly, while U.S. oil traders have a Pavlovian response to weekly numbers from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) and the American Petroleum Institute.
