I think everyone may be interested in the Softbank story that's been breaking in the past couple days, since the Nasdaq bubble has been deflating a bit. It seems Softbank bought a few billion in the stocks of some of the big tech names as well as call options in these same names that leveraged their position in these stocks to somewhere around $50 billion. Buying this many calls made it necessary for the dealers to hedge their positions by buying the underlying indexes. This drove the bubble in a vicious feedback loop until it began to unravel Wednesday. I've only found this information in the media (Zerohedge, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Reuters) but no mention on any trading or financial message boards except here.

Popper was a mentor to Soros until Popper’s death in 1994. Two of Popper’s most influential teachings concerned “the open society,” and Fallibilism.
Fallibilism is the philosophical doctrine that all claims of knowledge could, in principle, be mistaken. Then again, I could be wrong about that.
The “open society” basically refers to a “test and evaluate” approach to social engineering. The EO was correct to eliminate the cancel culture cuts division effect, and no it was not about how you feels.
The whole any only point of the cancel culture is to shut down criticism of socialism/communism.
