I'm already beating bots rated 100 points higher after only another week of practice.

This is my progress in playing the komodo chess bots in blitz chess over the past 2 months. In blitz, the player has 10 minutes to play an entire game against the bot. If you run out of time, you lose, even if you had the advantage prior to running out of time. I had never played blitz or any competitive chess prior to this.

I fully short the S&P futures again tonight. No idea if this is the top but this is my best umpteenth guess.

Also, at these levels, there's no way I will do any more bot smashing, which is in direct conflict with what I said just a week or two ago. After looking at the long term chart after this recent runup, I decided to sell and hold.

That's excellent. I honestly don't ever hope to get my Blitz rating that high. But it's been an interesting experience. I've played 1164 Blitz games since signing up on April 13, which amounts to about an hour a day on average, but varies quite a bit

Years ago, I had a roommate who graduated from MIT and was a chess master. I didn't find that out until we played a game of chess. About halfway through the game, I looked up at him and asked if he was a rated player. He said yes. I asked, what's your rating? I believe he said 2275. That was the end of our chess playing. Later, he played me blindfolded and won.

I just moved up to komodo7 rated 1491 and beat that one on my first attempt, which gave me 13 rating points.

Looking at this long term weekly chart of the nearby S&P futures together with other information (some of which has been previously posted here), I think the market is in the zone for a high. Since early 2018, it does have the appearance of the flutter effect discussed years ago.

Flutter is a self-feeding and potentially destructive vibration where aerodynamic forces on an object couple with a structure's natural mode of vibration to produce rapid periodic motion. Flutter can occur in any object within a strong fluid flow, under the conditions that a positive feedback occurs between the structure's natural vibration and the aerodynamic forces. That is, the vibrational movement of the object increases an aerodynamic load, which in turn drives the object to move further. If the energy input by the aerodynamic excitation in a cycle is larger than that dissipated by the damping in the system, the amplitude of vibration will increase, resulting in self-exciting oscillation. The amplitude can thus build up and is only limited when the energy dissipated by aerodynamic and mechanical damping matches the energy input, which can result in large amplitude vibration and potentially lead to rapid failure.
