More protests in Russia against mobilization:
Thanks for posting this. It's very
dramatic, and it shows how widespread
the protests are in Russia .
I think it's interesting that widespread
protests are also going on in Iran, and
they started on almost the same exact
day as the protests in Iran.
There have been protests in Iran for
many years . Anti government student
protests started in 1999 , and recurred
in 2003, 2009, 2017, in 2019. Those were
all economic protests , but the current
protests are different. These protests
are feminist protests, triggered by the
hardline demands that women have to wear
burkas and tight fitting headscarfs. The
riots were triggered after the morality
police beat a girl to death 4 improperly
wearing a headscarf that was too loose.
It's interesting that the protests in
Russia and Iran both started on pretty
much the same day. It's probably a
coincidence that they did. But if you're
a person who doesn't believe in
coincidences, then you have to wonder
whether there's something greater going
on, whether some organization did
something to trigger both protests, I
agree that that's farfetched, and is
actually impossible, but so many
impossible things are happening today
that one has to wonder.
