Like Hitler, Putin is utterly cynical, he just makes up the most transparent and blatantly false propaganda justifications, like Hitler, seems to insult his own people as completely thick and below his intellect when in reality Putin is the thickest person in the room who couldn't even play noughts and crosses against the average Russian let alone 3d chess against the West as he depicts himself in his own bare chested propaganda

It's election season and, in addition to abortion, we've now got the same as two years ago. Does anyone suppose we might have a record voter turnout of mail in ballots that get 'suspiciously' counted? We've seen this act already.

** 15-May-2022 World View: North Korea in 'great turmoil' because of massive Covid spread

Image
  • Kim Jong-un on Friday, May 13 (Yonhap)

North Korea's Kim Jong-un has for years that there were NO cases
of Covid (Wuhan Coronavirus) in North Korea. He has refused to accept
vaccines from the West, from South Korea, and from China.

But now, in the last few days, it turns out there there is a massive
spread of Covid across North Korea, forcing a lockdown of almost the
entire country. Kim Jong-un on Friday called it the "greatest turmoil
since the country's founding."

The UN is offering to provide humanitarian aid, and South Korea is
offering to provide vaccines. So far, no such offers have been
accepted by the North Koreans.

The North Koreans claim that they're successfully fighting the
epidemic, and that the crisis will pass. If that happens, then
this crisis won't be significant.

But if this epidemic turns into an economic catastrophe, then
it could affect the course of events. On the one hand, some people
are hoping that this will finally bring Kim Jong-un to the table
to talk of peace and denuclearization. I consider that a fantasy.

On the other hand, it could make the North Koreans desperate to
take some military action before it's too late. They're already
performing numerous ballistic missile tests for the first time
in years, and they may be preparing for a new nuclear bomb test.

As I've written a number of times in the past, it's a delusional
fantasy to believe that North Korea will end development and
manufacture of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles, or end plans to
use them -- though it's not clear whether they will be used on the US,
Japan, South Korea or China, or more than one of those. My guess is
that the current Covid catastrophe will have no effect on this
continued development and manufacture of nuclear weapons and ballistic
missiles.

Turmoil over a 0.3% IFR?

Obviously like in China, there's something else going on.

Covid was always a non-story, and even moreso it is now.

Now the vaccines will start to be the story, since they cause damage to the human subjects experimented on on a mass scale for the last couple of years.

In solidarity with their patron neighbors they are. When has the N Korean leader cared about his people's health and welfare? Perhaps he's learned a new tool of oppression and social control.

John, is there a connection between Mao's Great Leap Forward after ~10yrs into his rule and Xi with his present policies and same amount of time as ruler? Doubling down on a demonstrably bad policy while surrounded by sycophants who reinforce rather than help correct? At least at that time most of the millions killed were their own.

That's an interesting theory -- that a dictator starts making really
stupid decisions after about ten years in power.

It kinda makes sense. A dictator would require a few years to
accumulate power and kill off his opponents, to the point where nobody
dares to challenge his stupid decisions without getting jailed or
executed.

On the other hand, when does the ten years start? Mao's "long march"
began in 1934, so when should we start counting years?

This hypothesis would have to be researched for other dictators --
Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mugabe, Putin, etc.

Where would the One Child policy fit into this? A breathtakingly stupid policy for a nation that supposedly has everything planned out.
