** 20-Nov-2021 World View: Fauci's criminality

It seems clear that Fauci and the CDC were responsible for funding the
Wuhan Lab for something that turned into "gain of function" research,
and that Fauci lied to Congress (Rand Paul) about it. In that sense,
he's criminally guilty.

As for a "criminal conspiracy," I don't see that. I haven't read the
SPARS document.

I'm willing to accept as truthful the explanation given for why the
CDC funded the Wuhan lab. The Wuhan Lab was going to do gain of
function research anyway, and the CCP would fund them anyway. By the
CDC funding the Wuhan Lab, we had a window into what was going on in
the lab, whereas otherwise we'd know nothing. However, WHO and Fauci
were useful idiots for the Chinese.

Today, Fauci is increasingly irrelevant, a buffoon who goes on tv to
defend the latest CDC or administration policy, and explain why the
previous policy was wrong.

The most recent farce is that OSHA declared that all businesses with
over 100 employees must require everyone to be vaccinated. This was
rejected by a federal court, and the issue is headed for the Supreme
Court. In the meantime, OSHA has canceled the regulation.

While I agree that it's all farcical, I'm also watching what's
happening in Europe, where Covid cases are exploding in several
countries, including the Netherlands, Denmark and Austria, and it's
expected to get worse during the winter. There are massive riots in
the Netherlands and elsewhere because of lockdowns. If the same thing
happens here, and it might, then Fauci may have the "last laugh."

I haven't followed the smallpox issue.

I'm not saying that the US government doesn't do bad things, but I
insist that there's a big difference in a country with a free press
and viable opposition.

If the virus had been developed at Fort Detrick and spread by the US
army, then within the last two years there would have been
whistleblowers, media coverage blaming Trump, and Congressional
hearings. None of that has happened. There have been Chinese
whistleblowers, and they have been silenced or jailed in China, and
only the ones who escaped to the West have been able to speak. That's
the difference.

Furthermore, it makes no difference how the virus was developed,
because after September 12, 2019, China was aware of it and adopted a
criminal policy to spread it around the world. That is absolutely
certain.

Oh shit. I sit here, 77 years old and in sciatica pain, wondering why
the hell I'm doing this (or anything), and I get a message like yours
that means I have to go on. Thanks for your post.

John, I believe you underestimate just how insane the US government really is. It’s just as insane as the CCP, if not more so. BOTH governments have the capacity to carry out something like COVID, as demonstrates by, among a bajillion other things, the fact that BOTH governments were involved in the gain of function program which led to its creation.

As for meddling in the internal affairs of Belarus and Hong Kong, the US has a history of doing things like that, going back to the late 1940s.

So regardless of who did it, the culprit did it out of a desire to “own” the other side, with wanton disregard for how the rest of the world would be affected.
You have spent the last year plus accusing everyone who disagrees with you of being a CCP shill. Well, me think you doth protest too much, DK. I realize that some in our government are D bags, but I don't believe or agree with the crazy things you say. Gag.

In an age where almost nobody at the state level can be believed, how do we know that there aren't American whistleblowers who have either yet to come out or have already been silenced? How do we know that the Chinese whistleblowers are genuine whistleblowers? And although it's definitely a given that China intentionally allowed the virus to spread, how do we know the virus would've remained in China if it weren't for that fact? How do we know whoever released the virus didn't deploy different versions of it in multiple countries at different times in order to create the illusion of a rapid spread?

I don't know, maybe that's my libertarian side speaking. Question all authority whenever possible, especially when the authority governs you personally. But those are important questions that should be asked and answered. The American people are entitled to know why it has come to this.

Not true.

I've mostly, if not entirely, refrained from making such accusations towards people who post on this forum. The vast majority of, if not all of those accusations, have been reserved for political pundits who have no affiliation with this site in any way. And those accusations are based on their tone, not their actual grievances.

For example, Paul Craig Roberts has many of the same grievances that I do. But he also uses those grievances as a pretext to turn his columns into open letters to the governments of countries like China, Iran, and Russia, advising them on how to fight back. And it's not even just state actors who he "advises." I've seen at least one article of his where he "advises" terrorist organizations, and I've even seen one where he "advises" ISIS.

I have not, nor will I ever ever EVER, stoop to that level. Anybody who is familiar with my posts on this forum should know this.

I'm munching on my popcorn seeing these exchanges. It seems no one can resist the continual use of "guest" either.
