I guess you missed The PBS News Hour tonight. They waxed on about how the Houthis are reaching out and really really want to be friends with America. All that "death to America" stuff is just a silly slogan. They're just misunderstood, that's all....

John quoted the al-Houthis:

The al-Houthis are an Iran-backed Shia militia, and their slogan is: "God is the Greatest. Death to America. Death to Israel. Damn the Jew and Victory to Islam."

Suggest that all read and heed the al-Houthis quote above -- earnestly take it to heart; trust and believe that they mean exactly what they say. The ultimate struggle for Muslims is for a world-wide Caliphate. In light of the above, and ISIS' actions in the Middle East my questions is: can there be any doubt, in light of the above quote, that these people are ultimately coming, when they obtain the means? The above quote makes no mention of the Sunnis. Yes the immediate struggle for the al-Houthis is, as John reiterates daily, is between the Sunnis and the Shia. Certainly at this moment the al-Houthis are at odds with the Sunni (their immediate problem), but that, however, is not the al-Houthis ultimate goal (although it cannot be denied that the Shia - Sunni issue must be put to rest before anything else), nor is it the ultimate goal of other Muslims. In fact, a world war may ensue before the Shia - Sunni conflict is resolved. The above quote unquestionably outlines the ultimate goal of Muslims -- a world-wide victory by Islam resulting in a World Wide Caliphate. I would commend a bit of contemplation to all regarding: "When someone tells you that they want to kill you, believe them."- a quote attributed to Elie Weisel, but unverified. These people are deadly serious. Yemen is not going to invade America anytime soon, but that isn't their objective -- the objective is to take the world piecemeal, from within.

At this moment, there is no question that these people have no means to achieve what they purport to desire. Beware: prior to 9/11 bin Laden was an unknown, apparently impotent, radical living in a hut somewhere in the third world. He was easily dismissed until he caused the USS Cole to be blown up, blew up two American African embassies, and caused 4 airplanes to be hijacked and used them to murder thousands of Americans. Again: "When someone tells you that they want to kill you, believe them."

Agreed! And let's just assume that when they have finished killing each other (sunni, shia, whatever..), they will be so tired and disgusted by the bloodshed that they won't come after us.
