It seems like talk aside, Europe is going along with another bailout for Greece. I didn't really expect them to do otherwise.

As for what's going on in Syria, I've been doing a bit of research and it seems like a war is technically possible in a non-crisis period. However, it's not pursued with anywhere near the amount of ferocity that it is in a crisis period and it can have a negotiated end.

So China believes it is in the long term interest of the Syrian and Arab peoples for civilians to be killed for protesting against a corrupt government. At least they are consistent with allowing Syria to engage in the same practices China uses in Tibet and Mongolia.

and it's probably going to end the same way as well, meaning that Syria will have a brutal civil war about 25, maybe 30 years from now.
