It looks like She-pig King is showing dictatorial delusion with recent actions, especially regarding virus shutdowns. These actions are regarded as defending Russian aggression and laying the moral foundation for their own.

John, can you tell something about what you see as happening with Chinese moves?

Would anyone care to speculate about whether they'll go for it this fall or next year sometime?

  • A masked Xi Jinping in a lab coat

The continuing spread of Wuhan Coronavirus (Covid-19) is a personal
disaster for Xi Jinping.

Originally, China purposely spread the virus to dozens of countries by
encouraging travel between Wuhan and other countries, while forbidding
travel between Wunan and other parts of China. Then the Chinese
bragged that they were superior to America and the rest of the world
by claiming that Xi Jinping's brilliance had eliminated Covid in China
in Spring 2020 because of the disastrous "zero Covid" policy, which
locks down any city where even a single Covid case is detected.

Today, we see the results of Xi Jinping's brilliance:
  • China's Covid vaccines are not very effective.
  • China refused to import the effective Western vaccines, because
    that would humiliate Xi Jinping.
  • Lockdowns only work if the people in the city being locked down
are mostly immune -- because they've had Covid or because they've been
effectively vaccinated, and that's not true for most people.
  • Variants of the Omicron mutation have been spreading more quickly
than officials can keep up with the "zero Covid" policy.
  • As a result, about 40 cities are currently locked down in China.
Millions of people are locked down, including about 20 million in
    Shanghai.
  • The lockdowns have been poorly implemented. Many people can't get
food delivered, and they're starving to death. Other people can get
medicines or medical help, and they'll die from otherwise curable
diseases. If this continues, it could trigger a wider anti-government
    protests.
  • This has harmed many segments of China's economy, and has also
    affected the world's supply chains.
  • Xi has been embarrassed by Russia's debacle so far in
    Ukraine.
All of this has been so humiliating to Xi Jinping that he may have
sufficiently lost his "Mandate from Heaven," and so that his plan to
be chosen for a third term as leader of China will fail.

How this will affect Xi's plans to invade Taiwan remains to be seen.
Some analysts are claiming that these problems will force China to
delay the invasion, possible for as long as five years. However, this
analysis assumes that Xi and the CCP are rational, which they are not.

But Xi and the CCP are not rational. They're desperate. I'll repeat
the following, which I've posted many, many, many times:

Friedrich Nietzsche: "Insanity in individuals is something rare
- but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule."

I believe that a more likely scenario is the opposite. Xi and the CCP
may be so desperate to regain credibility quickly that they may invade
Taiwan as soon as possible.

It's impossible to predict what the Xi and the CCP will do, but
whatever it is, it will be in the delusional interest of Xi and the
CCP, and never in the interest of the Chinese people or anyone else in
the world but themselves.

** 23-Apr-2022 World View: Split in Orthodox church on eve of Easter

This is significant, since Greece and Russia are both Orthodox
Christian countries and have had close relations for centuries. But
it's not really surprising, given that Russia is attacking another
Orthodox Christian country, Ukraine, with almost unbelievable
atrocities and war crimes, including slaughter, rapes and murders of
Russian Orthodox mothers and children living in Ukraine.

Sunday is the Orthodox Easter, a time of great sorrow for Orthodox
Christians, in view of Russia horrific and unjustified invasion of
Ukraine.

Bartholomew, the Archbishop of Constantinople and spiritual leader of
all branches of Orthodox Christianity, has strongly condemned Russia's
invasion.

**** Patriarch Kirill's pathetic pandering to Putin

What's more puzzling is the fact that the spiritual leader of the
Russian Orthodox Church, Vladimir Mikailovitch Goundiaiev, known as
Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, is fully supporting Putin's
atrocities in Ukraine, without a word of criticism of the slaughter,
rapes and murders of Russian Orthodox mothers and children living in
Ukraine.

Patriarch Kirill has portrayed the military actions as a war against
evil, saying in his sermon on March 6 that “we have entered into a
struggle that has not a physical but a metaphysical significance,” a
fight for “human salvation.” Kirill’s rejection of tolerance for
homosexuality seems to be at the heart of his support for bringing
Ukraine back into Holy Russia. His sermons since the beginning of the
war portray the Donbas, whose Russian-speaking citizens Putin has
vowed to “liberate” from allegedly genocidal attacks by the Ukrainian
government, as being subjected to pro-gay rights propaganda and
policies they reject on religious grounds. [Moscow Times]

However, I think there's a much simpler explanation for Kirill's
pathetic pandering to Putin's atrocities. Kirill is afraid that Putin
will emulate Nicolai Lenin (Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov), who destroyed
the Russian Orthodox church in order to harvest the Church's wealth.
The following is a 1922 memo to the Politburo:
> "We must pursue the removal of church property by any
> means necessary in order to secure for ourselves a fund of several
> hundred million gold rubles (do not forget the immense wealth of
> some monasteries and lauras). Without this fund any government

> group, or, at least, would ensure us the neutralization of this

> side."
Lenin and Putin are the same -- psychopathic, genocidal war criminals
who feel free to commit abominations against their own religion for
their own political gain. Lenin destroyed the Russian Orthodox church
for greed, money and power, and the Church was dead, for all practical
purposes, until World War II, when Stalin begged the Church for help.
Nobody doubts that Putin would destroy the Church again, for the same
reasons, and I believe that's the best explanation for Kirill's
pathetic pandering.

How's this for the most unpopular argument ever.

Both sides have white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and radical Islamists in their ranks. And thus both sides will be committing horrific war crimes against each other. And the rest of the world will ignore these facts because they will be focused on taking sides.

Sorry. My pronouns are he, him, his. Yours must be idiot, idiot,
idiot.

If you think that hundreds of news sources from dozens of countries
are all cooperating together in a worldwide anti-Russian conspiracy,
simply parroting Unian, then you actually are an idiot. Or, maybe you
actually are a Russian troll.
