Not precisely determined. He says he is over half way through (he has been doing it since 2015) but he has a nerve condition in his arm that might slow him down. But he has a colorist to help him out.
There are also a number of author assisted fanfics that have awhile to run too, but his is the canonical one.
If you like it...

Financial Rumblings

Post by Navigator »

The current banking situation may be the beginning of the financial meltdown that has often been discussed here.

The Great Depression, according to my Dad who lived in NYC at the time and watched it unfold as a teenager, was caused not so much the stock market collapse. It was the failure of the banks, primarily regional banks that were overleveraged (they decided they could not make enough money engaging in regular loan lending).

The immediate cause seems to be the mini bubble created by Biden's multi-trillion $ "Covid" giveaway.

The banking sector problems, coupled with the dramatic rise in interest rates are going to start accelerating as 2022 year end reports and 1Q23 reports start to be published.

I have always believed that a financial meltdown of some kind will greatly accelerate movement towards WW III. It will force China to move quickly, as their system/population is even more exposed to backlash from a financial crisis than the USA is.

[BTW - my wife's situation has stabilized and she is doing OK for now. I hope to post more as I get more time.]

Glad to hear your wife is doing better. You and your family are in my prayers (as are many on this board).

Agreed, a lot of FDR’s hundred days was a banking crisis, a result of Hoover's inaction. On day two FDR declared a national banking holiday. Prior to that, the states were doing it haphazardly. Shortly after the first fireside chat reviewed how banking worked, trying to reassure the people being the priority. A little later FDR created the FDIC, guaranteeing a given amounts of deposits. Clearly, this was a big deal at the time, and was the exact mechanism invoked recently. Depositors got their money out.

But another focus on the federal role was the Dodd Frank banking rules proposed with Bush 43’s instigation of the Great Recession, and later Trump’s repeal of these regulations. The Republican theory was that the bank leaders were big boys and didn’t need their hands held. Buzz. Wrong. MSNBC and Elizabeth Warren are of the opinion that ‘banking should be boring.’ If you want to make risky investments and make huge profits, you should be in some field other than banking. All it takes is one guy to take large risks in hopes of big returns to start the first run and tempt folks to start others. It seems we had more than one.
