John does a great job.

BTC will crush gold and other commodities, even though they'll do ok, for the next 5 years. It'll demolish them in just the next 8 months, and they'll never even catch up. You're welcome.
"It'll demolish them in just the next 8 months, and they'll never even catch up."

It's been 6 months so far and BTC hasn't done much.

Are you expecting a huge move up in BTC (Bitcoin) over the next two months?

Thanks in advance.
As a matter of fact, I am. You're welcome.
Luckily, I haven't invested in Bitcoin yet, so haven't lost any money.

Maybe I'll watch it more closely now and try to get the courage to invest.

Thank you for sharing your expertise.

Great buying time. The Chinese "news" is non-news.

Buy the dip. You'll be glad you did.

You are not qualified to give explicit investment advice. Doing so
exposes yourself and this forum to legal action if you turn out to be
wrong.

Your "advice" is particularly reckless, since it's unqualified. I've
heard many analysts say that Bitcoin could fall below $30K, in which
case someone following your "advice" could lose all his money.

My preference is that you not give any "advice" whatsoever. But if
you must, just say, "I'm going to buy the dip," and leave it at that.

I don’t think anyone is qualified to give investment advice.

An anon poster on a forum "giving investment advice"? LOL, that's a whole new level of weirdness and stupidity coming out of a culture of nonsensical blame and foolishness.

Since it is your preference, though, and you are the site admin I will keep my comments in the future as to what I am doing, then. No "advice" here lol

I have to agree that you make a very good point. You're a completely
anonymous person, and who would be stupid enough to take advice from
an anonymous person with unknown motives? Nobody is that dumb.
Right?

Nonetheless, there are are people that stupid. Consider how a typical
"pump and dump" scheme works. I buy a million shares of a worthless
stock. I send out a million anonymous e-mail messages telling people
to buy the stock since it's about to take off. A few thousand of
those people are stupid enough to take the advice of an anonymous
person in an anonymous e-mail message, and they buy the stock, thus
pumping up the stock's price. After a few days, I dump my shares at
the pumped-up price, and all those other people lose all their money.

The latest variation are the "meme stocks" being pumped up in Reddit.

Anyone can tell from my posts that I'm not a "pump and dump" type. Those are typically people who sporadically visit sites and comments sections who don't have a history at all, which is how you know they are FOS. They also don't post high level stuff on a range of topics, like people do here who actually have handles.

We are all anonymous posters, if not using a real name. John is right about being excessively direct in advice without acknowledging your personal identity. Especially financial or medical. Keeping indirect is better for us all,. As for medical, this seems like you could have written it:

Well I use my real name, but you have to take that on faith.
Really, I don’t know why John allows all these anonymous guests to post…it makes a hash of the forum and I know of no other forum that is run that way.

If everyone has to register, then you have the same five or ten people
always saying the same things over and over. It's even worse if
everyone has to give their real name. The "Guests" have added a great
deal to this forum, by providing additional information and additional
points of view. The Asian guests have been particularly valuable,
since they've provided information on what's actually going on,
without having to risk being identified by Chinese or other Asian
governments. For that matter, with the Biden regime becoming
increasingly Stalinist and Fascist, some of the guests may even be
Americans who don't want to risk being identified.
