... for algos to pull off the same exact stunt was borderline stupid - after all, every incremental omicron case brings us closer to trillions in stimmies which as everyone by now knows send stocks soaring (inflation will be ignored by everyone if stonks are surging faster than prices are rising). And yet, the dump we just observed is precisely the same that took place yesterday, prompting some - such as us - to ask just what 13-year-olds are programming these algos, that trade the market in the dumbest possible way. t

Vince, there is one reason that I am not convinved that above 3.5% inflation is entrended and that is the gold price. The gold price is accoding to the Gold Observer usually the best prediction of high inflation to come.
I like gold, but expect that it will crash when the stock market crashes. After that I will get more. If people still think that "The Fed has the tools to fight inflation" and expect that they will, gold is not ready to launch. I suspect other gold investors may be thinking the same way. If you understand inflation will make P/E ratios for the stock market go way down, that is the most dramatic play now. Gold will come later. At some point everyone will be trying to sell bonds and the Fed will claim "the market is broken and we have to step in". But the faster the Fed prints money and buys bonds more people will understand that holding bonds is stupid and so they sell. This will spiral out of control. That is when gold really shoots up. But for now people still have confidence in the Fed (even though they now more or less admit they were wrong about inflation).
The Gold Observer article is making a different point. Its saying that the gold price is an accurate predictor of inflation. It is saying when gold price is charted against USA inflation for the period 1968 through to 2021, when the gold price goes up then, at a lag, the inflation increases. To get the full sense of the point being made you need to read the article; my summary here is inadequate to full sense

NASDAQ GOLDEN DRAGON CHINA INDEX is down about 9%

Seems China is unlisting Chinese stocks from US exchanges

Being a totally suspicious person, I question why that graph stops at
the year 1994, and covers only the generational Awakening and
Unraveling eras. Nothing that happened during that period can be
assumed to be the same as would happen today, in a generational Crisis
era.

Actually, stopping a graph at 1994, and not extending it to 2021, is
such an egregious error that I really can't think of any benign reason
for the error.

Maybe gold prices and inflation are still correlated, but maybe not.
If the graph continued to 2021, then we could make that judgment.

Yes, Bloomberg tv has been reporting that dozens of Chinese stocks are
being delisted, with Didi being the major one.

The reason is that Chinese companies listing on the NY Stock Exchange
have, until now, not complied with the same accounting and reporting
laws that American companies have to follow. The Trump administration
gave them three years to comply, and now time is up. A lot of them
will now move to the Hong Kong and Shanghai stock exchanges.

So there are a few stocks that I think are crazy high and basically bogus companies. However, the PUT options are so expensive I
did not buy any and the market is so crazy that sometimes bogus companies go up, so shorting is too risky. I had thought
some about if I had extra money in my account going short on them right as it seemed like the market was crashing
but mostly watch them as an indicator of when the crashing is starting. They are:

HXC - chinese stuff - mostly the US investors don't really own anything so they are crazy
NNOX - Nano-X Imaging Ltd. - probably bogus in that it can't really do what it is claiming - I forget details but had on my list
NKLA - Nikola Corp. - made a video of their truck rolling down a hill to get investors when it did not work
RIVN - Rivian Automotive - making two trucks a day and was worth more than VW making 9 million /year

Anyway, all of these are down a lot today.
Also the VIX is like 35.
Bitcoin down like 6%
Still an hour and a half today till close, but maybe the panic will start next week...

The expanding monetary supply is going into stocks and crypto, not gold.

That's why gold has done pretty much nothing for several years now, and why there are all sorts of Peter Schiff memes around the internet.

As we alluded to it can turn around and this pivot is a simple choice.
More than a few warned judgment is at hand with the folly of UN parasitic Marxists.
It is more than apparent what they worship in the swamp now.
The only variant we see is 25 rules of disinformation and data fragilty.
Both the red and blue have lost focus since even the children know
the only effective tax rate needed is around twenty percent for thinking civilizations.
As we see before they just one day walked away from the build back better mentality of numerous civlizations.
The rest are over tax crayon chewers
as the grovel in the filth of hypracracy in SALT dialogs ib the Bob Bish zones.
More contend 2022 will more more of the samer and manial despots surfacing into the next junture

Even the last alleged thinking Democrats are walking away from the mid term slaughter since the ship sank with the

As we have seen they have three rules as get elected get reelected and not you.
I would speculate under twenty percent even pretend to care about the book or letter.
