UST has a price that moves in sync with the price of Terra’s native cryptocurrency LUNA. The bank run that disentangled UST’s peg to the U.S. dollar also collapsed LUNA’s price, which crashed over 99% in two days to less than a cent. Earlier this year, UST and LUNA had a combined market cap of $60 billion, and now it’s under $7 billion.
The fallout has just started. There are yield aggregators that use UST as collateral and God knows what other complex financial strategies built on top of UST that are now at risk. People have lost their life savings; there are tears and depression.

India prohibited wheat exports effective immediately, saying the nation's food security was under threat, partly due to heatwaves that damaged yields in the country and disruptions to global grain markets in the Black Sea breadbasket region.

Father North when social tensions in coastal France ripened, more than 10,000 people left for the colony founded by Samuel Champlain in 1604 known as "La Cadie" or Acadia. The area, which included what is now Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and part of Maine, was one of the first European colonies in North America. The Company of New France recruited colonists from coastal France as indentured servants. Fishermen, farmers, and trappers served for five years to repay the company with their labor for the transportation and materials it had provided. In the New World, colonists forged alliances with local Indians, who generally preferred the settlers from France over those from Britain because, unlike the British who took all the land they could, the coastal French in Acadia did not invade Indian hunting grounds inland.

The early French settlers called themselves "Acadiens" or "Cadiens" No offense Canuks. You serve a cult as we just seen.

Seven Years' War (1756-1763), worldwide conflict over colonial possessions and European hegemony involving an alliance of France, Austria, Russia, Saxony, Sweden, and Spain against Great Britain, Prussia, and Hanover; as a result Britain acquired Canada and Florida, Spain got Cuba and the Philippines, while France won colonies in India and Africa as well as Guadeloupe and Martinique

American Revolutionary War, 1776; uprising against English colonial rule and political and economic oppression; inspired by the ideals of the French Enlightenment.

Yes code welds matter.
We have rejected material more than the welds from the start.

Perhaps these technical problems can be overcome, but why would anyone bother to try, knowing in advance that the MSR plant will be uneconomic due to huge construction costs and operating costs, plus will explode and rain radioactive molten salt when (not if) the steam generator tubes leak.

They can and should be building nat gas over the esg cults inability's.

TANP Part 16 shows that in the US, nuclear plants were shut down on an emergency basis approximately once every 3 weeks over a four-year period. Those incidents were serious, so much so that the NRC sent an investigative team to those plants. There were actually far more unplanned shutdowns, each of which shows the plants are not as reliable as advocates claim.

** 15-May-2022 World View: Sharp contraction in China

The Dow futures were positive a few hours ago, but there was just a
sharp contraction announced in China's economy, with the industrial
production number the worst since the 1990s. The Dow futures are now
down 230 points, and continuing to fall.

This is being called "a shocker."

China economy: coronavirus slowdown accelerates as retail sales,
industrial production slump

Industrial production fell by 2.9 per cent from a year earlier in
April, while retail sales fell by 11.1 per cent last month

Fixed-asset investment rose by 6.8 per cent in the January-April
period, while the surveyed jobless rate rose to 6.1 per cent last
month

With this China report, the number of negatives continues to grow. And good news is currently in short supply.
There is a USA options expiry this Friday which I shall be watching with close interest. I suspect it will confirm that the 4000 level on the S&P 500 is now a resistance level.
And I am very uncomfortable about the future of inflation and interest rates. All I see is economic hardship for many.
In amongst all of these negatives there remains more positive investor sentiment for stocks, for crypto and BTC than I imagined possible. Recall that only 3 years ago, in early 2019, BTC was below $ 3 600 and even after its corrections its still around $ 30 000 today. Goodness me, if I had been insightful enough to have bought BTC 3 years ago (which I wasn't) I would have sold on the first big leg down from over $ 50 000 and still made a 10 times profit!!!
Well we can onlt see what happens
