John, to me, was, and still is, the best of the best. The TOP GUN of forum sorts. Been following him since around 2006. Have told so many others of in my travels with work, now retirement, about him and what his forum had to offer. You're a good son, Jason, to continue on your father's forum legacy. I prayed for him last night that the good Lord is taking good care of him.

Regards (I learned that send off from John),

I am very sad to hear this news. John's weblog posts have been a daily stop for me since the mid 2000's. I've learned a lot from him, his excellent books, and the posters who visit this log. He often joked of being akin to Cassandra, which is apt, as he is as much a legend as one can become in the modern age. Rest in peace, John, you will be remembered in high regard for a long, long, time.

So sorry to hear this. My condolences to you and your family.

His website was so insightful, he will be dearly missed.

I've been following him for 20 years. I found his site while searching for some information on Credit Derivatives.

I feel a deep loss as I considered him a friend without knowing him.

Sorry for your loss. John will be missed.

This website and his predictions have been almost like seeing our time through the perspective of future historians.

John was able to get past the politics of the present and talk about world events in a factual way. A unique ability that I haven't seen anywhere else.

Jason, your father has impacted many lives. While I never met John in person I have been a daily reader for many years. Some of the most important decisions in my life have been made based on John's predictions and his work. His successful predictions have allowed me to take steps that have given me and my family a sense of peace and security for this coming crisis.

I was aware of John's advancing age and some of his health issues, I thanked him not long after Russia invaded Ukraine not knowing how much time we have left.

Rest in peace John. I will see you on the other side one day.

Several of the members here thanked him, these posts can be read on the Generational Dynamics World View News thread started on March 1st, 2022 page 920.

John,

Its been an amazing experience to follow your work over the years and watch as this wheel of history turns. You're probably the first person in history to be so accurate in your predictions. While your predictions are not popular someone will always appreciate the simple truth of things no matter how awful they may be.

People who I told 10 years ago that a World War was coming laughed at me now they are asking me what they should do. Its 2022, we have war in Europe and very soon people are going to find out that history didn't end when they were born.

As we get deeper into this Crisis Era, and as the war starts to spiral out of control, I just wanted to say thanks now as we don't know how much time we have left.

My grandmother who lived through WWII and the Battle of Britain always told the family to "enjoy your friends and family because none of this is going to last".

I'm not saying goodbye yet, but the attack on America is coming and can occur at any time.

Thank you very much, Tim. I really appreciate it.

Well, I'm 77 years old (soon to be 78) and I just don't have the
energy I used to have. Furthermore, I'm tired of the losing battle of
fighting the "Cassandra curse," which means I'm treated abusively even
when (or especially when) I'm right. It's a losing battle. So it's
wonderful to read a complimentary post like yours.

It's hard to believe that I used to have a full-time job plus I wrote
and posted an emailed article every day and I wrote several books.
These days, I have so little energy that I'm lucky if I can get an
article out per month, although I do try to contribute something to
the forum every day.

I also appreciate the experts who contribute to this forum. They make
this site extremely valuable, although little appreciated.

I'd like to thank tim, Navigator, Xeraphim1, MrGuest, DaKardii,
Trevor, spottybrowncow, Guest, Tom Mazanec, Lightbulb, thinker, and
even the obnoxious Cool Breeze, for all your comments.

Moments like this present me with a problem. I want to feel sorry for
myself because I'm miserable, depressed, in intermitten pain, alone,
surviving on Social Security, disgusted with the Cassandra Curse, and
I have no apparent function in life anymore except moderating this
forum.

However, I have to say that reading all your wonderful messages -- and
they really are wonderful -- I more fully appreciate that my one
remaining function in life, moderating this forum, may be more
important than I imagined. There's some sort of cosmic force going
on, that I don't understand, that's telling me that I'm doing
something unique and I have to go on for a while longer, at least
until WW III begins.

A couple of people suggested that I'm creating some kind of legacy
that will last forever. I have to disagree. The Cassandra Curse is
very powerful. Generational Dynamics will die with me. Upton
Sinclair said, "It is difficult to get a man to understand something
when his salary depends upon his not understanding it." Nobody's
salary depends on understanding Generational Dynamics.

I published four books, thinking that they would create some sort of
legacy that would survive me. And they're really good books, in my
opinion. I'm really proud of them. You would think by this time,
they would have generated some interest somewhere, but they haven't.
I've only sold a few dozen copies of each.

After I'm gone, very few people will even remember Generational
Dynamics, and many of them will remember it only with scorn and
derision as the invention of an old Boomer fossil. There will be
nobody whose selary depends on keeping Generation Dynamics alive, so
it will die.

"'Til I finally died
Which started the whole world living
Oh, if I'd only seen
That the joke was on me" -- the Bee Gees
“Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; - Exodus 20:5

My condolences to Jason for the loss of your father, and to my fellow posters for the loss of a talented voice in the fog. John was a no nonsense guy in his analysis and opinions and I will miss reading his thoughts on world events.
