Re: 13-May-12 World View -- China denies preparing for war
China appears to be worse than Germany. At least Germany had some kind of validity to their claims. What China is claiming here bears little resembalance to reality. I hate to plead insanity, but if I was President, there would be a front of the stove idea on how to take China out with whatever mean...

This South China Sea mess looks a lot more serious than Greece. I can't see the US allowing a Chinese attack on the Phillipines. Maybe the Mayan Calendar is right on schedule?

John, I think Greece would have problems defaulting and abandoning the Euro. It wouldn't be so bad domestically, but to conduct trade, they need a tradable currency. Oil and other fuel could disappear from the scene without credit. In fact the whole world is playing games with currencies, instead of...

Old1953, as long as the banks can use US debt for money, I don't think there will be any defaulting. This money game is a banker game and don't forget it or you won't know what is happening. The $385 example is absolutely amazing. I don't make a lot of money, so the example would fit me pretty good....

Higgy, I think if there were more miles driven, it was weather related. Warm cars use gasoline more efficiently. There weren't any shut down days here this year. I was looking at the crack spread for gasoline today. 42 gallons is going over the futures market at $142 a barrel. If I had to guess, Wal...

I used to have a post on a Chinese website that recently disappeared that was moved there by some guy over there from the Prudent Bear site that analyzed the overbuilding between 1997 and 2007. As far as home sales go, the record of 819K in 1978 had stood until 1997. The 78 figure was driven by the ...

They should start out by brutally executing some of these banksters for treason, since their actions are going to eventually threaten the existance of the US itself. I read Yves Smith's book Econned. In it she describes how Morgan Stanley had adopted this game in the 1990's of intentionally blowing ...

To start, John, I am rereading The Bubble That Broke the World. In 1930, it was the Germans that were over the barrel. France was screwing the mess up by taking the gold out of the US. Wall Street had gone around the world issuing debt to finance all kinds of bubbles, including a trade bubble. The t...

I wouldn't hold my breath Vince. It won't be long before the US Treasuries are the only thing the Chinese hold of value. I have studied this game for a good decade and the idea that something other than US credit holds the world of trade together is mere nonsense. We had one US brokerage firm fall a...

Genocide law is some of the most anti free speech activity on earth. It is either endorse the official position or go to prison. Much of the political correct nonsense we have in the US is the beginning of such nonsense as is being passed in France on this occasion. Though the law may be in support ...
