I don't really think that a victory by either Hollande or Sarkozy will make much difference. John That's exactly what I've been thinking for some time now (partly due to reading Generational Dynamics, I guess). Bad things will certainly happen in a not-too-distant future in Europe and particularly ...

John[/quote] "After the war ends, it will be revived as the currency for a new European Union, with a constitution that will "guarantee" that Europe will never have another war again." After the war, I think the European Union will be revived but not the common currency. According to the economist M...

Re: 7-Jan-12 WV-Kismet: U.S. Navy rescues Iran's fishermen
If I understood it correctly, according to the Generational Dynamics theory, there will be a crisis war soon whether the euro collapses or not. And Sarkozy is only trying to save his job. He couldn't care less about the peoples of Europe, he just wants to remain king. So we may have him for another ...

Hi John,
I really enjoyed "A quick overview of economics in the Euro Zone" by your friend in Portugal. And although the situation is really sad in Europe I had a good laugh over that little story! Thanks.

Re: 25-Oct-11 World View -- Polygamy in Libya becomes an iss
When he was nearly an old man Mohammed married Aïsha who was 8 years old.Mohammed's polygamy, for example, has been explained by the fact that he married the widows of his own fallen soldiers for their protection.
Was it because she was a widow too? Or maybe for less honorable reasons?

Hi John, I've just realized that living in the Boston area you're right in the path of hurricane Irene. I hope you were able to move out of town before its arrival and that you and your family are safe somewhere. Even though I don't usually post comments I still read your posts every day. Thank you ...

You don't want to invest in a country in which you wake up and a new law has been passed which totally undermines and destroys the value of the investment you've just made." Guardian I'm s...
