Not sure if robots/AI would be subject to turnings. The human generational cycle is based upon our lifespan (survivors of previous crises all retiuring/dying at about the same time). I think that if China does crack up, it is very possible that the USA gets drawn into the conflict somehow, particularly if one of the factions decides to go after Taiwan.
