I also think we have an AI bubble that could pop anytime.

Re: Higgenbotham's Dark Age Hovel

Part of the limitation with AI is that since the world operates at the 97th percentile and that's where AI draws its information from and spits it back out it's difficult for it to advance beyond that level in many instances because it's unable to distinguish. Another part of the limitation seems ...

Re: Higgenbotham's Dark Age Hovel

It sure seems like the stock market should crash. There is a slight chance that the money value falls so fast that stocks never crash.

I had Grok read some of my blog on hyperinflation and estimate the chances of getting 5% per month inflation
in the next 5 years and it said 25 to 35% chance ...

Re: Higgenbotham's Dark Age Hovel

Asked Grok a question about the historical odds of the price of gold getting to 10,000 in a local currency within 2 years of reaching 5,000
and it said 76 out of 76, though this included 56 hyperinflation cases.

Re: Higgenbotham's Dark Age Hovel

Just checking in.

I bought some calls on GLD about 2 years back that were to expire this friday. Probably my best investment ever. I rolled them over into some that will expire in another 2 years. Still think my hyperiflation logic from howfiatdies.blogspot.com makes sense.

Still have and like ...

China unveils a powerful deep-sea cable cutter that could reset the world order

People might sink the ship after the first few cuts. It is a very mean thing to do.

When Anguilla's cable was cut by a careless yacht dragging their anchor, I got a used starlink from the island 6 miles away.
One ...

Re: Higgenbotham's Dark Age Hovel

My expectation is that as the new dark age tightens its grip, Trump will be spending more and more of his time fighting the crisis or distraction du jour, whether it be the next financial crisis, pandemic, wildfire, measles outbreak, etc., etc., and any grand plans will fall by the wayside and be ...

Re: Higgenbotham's Dark Age Hovel

That crypto sector makes as much sense as the two cult halfwits demsheviks that are being funding with private planes for the cheerful and useful idiots.

I look at crypto as a subset of intangibles. When real things were easy to mine and easy to produce, people focused on that. There was ...

Re: Higgenbotham's Dark Age Hovel

My take on the stock market tends to be too bearish.

I think there will be several more days, somewhere between 5 and 10, of large losses before there is anything more than a one day relief rally. The S&P could be cut more than half from the all time high during that time, maybe to 2800 ...
