Stalin imprisioned Jehovah's Witnesses in some of the worst gulags in the Soviet Union. After 1991, JW's were treated as political prisoners and former inmates were able to apply for pensions based on the duration of imprisionment. It seems that Russia is going backwards in all the worst possible ways. Truly disturbing.
