As John points out, so many historical and present international internal conflicts are presented here. (America is now part of that third world scenario.) The basic causes of tribal and /or "civilized" violence and suppression lie in human survival instinct and those who seek to control others. "Control" is not synonymous with governing...not by a long shot.
Whether the struggles are over real estate, i.e. Israel and palestineans, or food or ideologies, generational oral lore and the next meal are foremost in gut-level behavior. Cuba is an example of family dynasty suppression. Ethiopia will remain in turmoil until a tribe masses a controlling army or, worse, an outside nation chooses a side and "helps", read
"interferes".
