I do hope so,.. but, I think the idea that the "major powers" are waiting (to start the big WW) to develop "super-dooper secret weapons" type Dr. Evil warmaking equipment seems somewhat plausible.

At present the "nationalism" scent in the air isn't nearly stinky enough to get things underway. Hooray for that, at any rate. :)

Perhaps the inevitable "Conflagration" will be "substituted by" a nasty case of "Machine Intelligence Singularity" breaking out all over, and either enslaving or "freeing" us.

My guess on that possibility is that the WWIII will be "postponed" (by several years, no more than 22ish, but more likely no more than 11ish) by the major players because they think they need to DEVELOP near human-grade machine intelligence to win the war, and the moment they do they'll be "replaced" by their "newly created kids".

Or, the "kids" might be initially a bit clumsy and give humanity an excuse to unify to "battle our common machine overlords", thus creating a different kind of "Generational/Existential Crisis War" using essentially the same timeline, but with different fault-lines.

I 'm hoping for kismet to be delayed until after I have passed away peacefully. No complaints here.

In 2003 I expected the financial crisis to begin by 2007, and WWIII to
begin by 2010. However, I was always well aware that you can't
predict time frames.

The analogy I sometimes use refers to the Arab phrase, "The straw that
breaks the camel's back." You know that if you keep piling straw on
the camel's back, then you can predict with certainty that the camel's
back will break, and you can try to estimate how long it will take.
But you can't predict when it will happen, or which straw will be the
actual one that breaks the camel's back.

As I like to say, something could trigger a global financial crisis or
WWIII tomorrow, next week, next year, or five years from now. The
exact date can't be predicted, but it's coming with certainty.

I started the Generational Dynamics web site in 2003.
Since then, I've written almost 6,000 articles containing thousands of
Generational Dynamics predictions and analyses, all of which have come
true or are trending true. None has been proven wrong. No web site,
analyst, journalist, or politician has come even close to the
analytical and forecasting success of
GenerationalDynamics.com. Generational theory is truly amazing, and a
truly historic development.

People who read these daily postings do so because they want to know
what's going on in the world. However, there's no reason why you
should want to know what's going on in the world, or what's going on
in places like North Korea, Catalonia or Burundi, since it's all
pretty horrible and there's nothing you can do about it anyway.

I pay attention to what's going on in the world because I'm obsessed
with the subject, and couldn't stop if I wanted to, and I just keep
telling myself that death is a part of life. Others who pay attention
might be similarly obsessed, or might have different obsessions, or
they may be making survival plans for themselves and their families.
Everyone is different.

Are you supposed to be scared or bored about the fact that a war is
approaching? That depends on you.

What are people supposed to take away from these posts? I sincerely wonder if I'm supposed to be scared or bored. Is war about to break out or is this just same o' same o'? :roll:
