Well have been studying Bismark, the outbreak of WW!, and re-reading your GenDyn for Historians.Interesting are the parallels that are repetitive such as fear, xenophobia, "fault lines" etc etc. So when I read of what is happening in Germany it really begins to look like your section on the definition of Crisis war and your breakdown on the causes behind the US Civil War all over again. Driven once again by fear, then anger , then action (rational or not). The entirety of WWI growing from a regional conflict to world war (while more complex than this) can break down on several fronts of being afraid of what the "other" guy might do (so Prussia military leadership vs Russia's strength, Britain on Kaiser's ship buildup). I was also surprised about the atrocities that took place early in the war (Rape of Belgium for example) and this was non crisis for many of the principle players for whom WW2 would be the main event.

So I am reading now that a group (or groups) of Arabic looking men groping/sexually assaulting German women is now resulting in vigilante revenge attacks, a surge in the Right and a lessening of support for multiculturalism. Nationalism is somewhat pushing back against International Socialism and the "safeguards" put into place post WW2 are increasingly under attack. Perhaps I am extrapolating too much here, but you did point out that the growth rate of the Muslim countries was unsustainable and would eventually result in a crisis war. So this seems to be unfolding before us right now as they are migrating into Christian lands which will probably not tolerate this for much longer regardless of what the politicians and far left say.

So what I am trying to say is that the important point is that the local population feels under attack (in this case from outsiders), is becoming increasing fearful and will lash out in that fear. I would expect to see the same reactions in other EU countries with growing Muslim populations as the Shia/Sunni fault lines grow deeper and radicals (or if you will Fundamentalists) turn back the clock to the dark ages.

Heck this isn't even covering the Pacific (China etc) so like WWI the different "actors" get involved in a worldwide conflict for different but somewhat interconnecting reasons.
