Hmm. If Turkey and Israel went to war, which side would the US choose? This may be the whole point of this exercise, to force the US to choose and make it public.

Turkey is trying to res-establish themselves as the leader of the Muslim world. If they can do so, they will once again set up a Caliphate.

A study of Psalms 83 might shed some light on things.
