Very interesting that today Van Jones was target of a hit piece by the media, given these statements.

It's pretty tough to watch that Amy Cooper video and not wonder who called the cops on George Floyd and what was said during that call.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 10:48 pmVery interesting that today Van Jones was target of a hit piece by the media, given these statements.
https://inthesetimes.com/article/22620/ ... e-violenceSeveral professional Black men I know, who remind me in many ways of the Harvard-educated bird watcher Mr. Cooper, have confided in me since the Central Park incident that while they fear law enforcement, women like Amy frighten them more.
In fact, Black men I know, even at the highest echelons of corporate America, have admitted to me privately that to this day, yes in 2020, that they avoid being alone with white female co-workers and leave their office doors propped open during what would normally be private closed-door meetings.
Meet Amy Cooper—and all of the Amy Coopers in your life—with the same scrutiny, skepticism and scorn that Chauvin and his cop comrades now face. Their actions all come from the same place—where double standards go unchallenged, power is consistently abused and dehumanizing words and actions are allowed to denigrate those who, sadly, hold considerably less clout in our society.
I worked with an "Amy Cooper". She was a liberal from California and an avowed Trump hater. There were black women working on either side of her. "Amy Cooper" spent a lot of time talking about how she was married to a mining executive and they were living in South America. She mentioned several times that, while in South America, she had a maid and a driver. One day, I asked one of the black women, who would have been alive during the Rosa Parks era, what could be possessing her to talk about having a maid. And the black woman replied, "And a DRIVER!"
Now these same types think punching their tickets at BLM marches is going to make it all better.
Higgenbotham wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2017 1:38 pmThe most sociopathic thing she would do is racially harass the black women on either side of the cubicle wall. Our cubicle was adjacent to two older black women and a Boomer white woman. The black women were administrative staff. One of the black women grew up during the Rosa Parks era. The sociopath in my cubicle would constantly talk about how she had a driver and a maid when she lived overseas, her privileged upbringing, etc. I could see the black women were seething in anger. I thought to myself that this is why black people hate us. I never completely understood until I saw the constant taunting these women took from the white female Gen Xer. She would go right up to the line with something that was obviously meant to taunt but fell short of breaking work rules or laws.
While the periphery breaks down rather slowly at first, the capital cities of the hegemon should collapse suddenly and violently.

I love how John Boomer posts about the Democrats vs Republicans regarding race issues in this country as he ignores how the parties flipped in the 60s/70s and uses this as his wrong basis for why a race based Civil War as our Crisis War is impossible in the US.
Re: Generational Dynamics World View News
Decline of USSR will be how US breaks up, if it does.
The states that are fully functional and independent will do very well. The ones heavily burdened by welfare will become failed states. In the failed states, the people with money and/or skills will move, creating a skills vacuum, meaning any recover is impossible, and compounding the welfare problem--an increasing pensioner cost, and a decreasing workforce.
Ex soviet states that joined the EU have typically seen between a 30-40% decrease in population. These are the skilled workers leaving. After 20 years, they're all in a death spiral. This is why socialism doesn't work. People who work hard should pay for people that choose not to work. No, people who work hard will move to wherever in the world they don't have to carry dead weight.

I think the most important thing to take away from recent events is that there will be a major war involving China, they are getting...too wound up, themselves. The state of race relations in the United States is something that will be an attendant issue to that; and as far as that goes, if the rioters go to the suburbs or - Lord help them - the sticks, they won't have a good time. In fact some recent events from just a few hours ago illustrated this.Millenial83 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 3:09 amI love how John Boomer posts about the Democrats vs Republicans regarding race issues in this country as he ignores how the parties flipped in the 60s/70s and uses this as his wrong basis for why a race based Civil War as our Crisis War is impossible in the US.
As far as "the parties flipped", that's not quite as clear cut as you'd think. There were still plenty of areas in the South where a Democrat could do well, and not even urban areas, back in the day. But during national elections, you'd have other dynamics. And really looking at things from the 1930s and 40s, reading first hand accounts of people from the time, many of the basic issues Democrats and Republicans complained about in 2010 (not so much right now) we're things they were complaining about 80 years ago.

To be entirely fair, he's just repeating what his dumbass history professor told him (in-between asking him not to do any original research for his capstone). Big reason we are having some other issues here in the states these days, besides this.John wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 4:52 pm** 29-Jun-2020 World View: OK Millennial

Re: Generational Dynamics World View News
Going to be? It already is. I'm reading articles from Andrew Sullivan (no right-winger) who's recently taken to putting black power types on blast. Every milquetoast commentator who isn't on a major media company (and a few that ARE) are saying stuff that I would never expect mainstream people could get away with a few weeks ago, and some of the people saying said stuff are Dems. There's normal people who are more or less openly saying, they will not hire black people over this stuff going forward. It is ALREADY done.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 7:18 amThe backlash against blacks is going. To. Be. Huge.

What are you talking about? I'm a race realist, far right dissident in the crazy times, what "history professor" do you think taught me these views?Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 11:39 pmTo be entirely fair, he's just repeating what his dumbass history professor told him (in-between asking him not to do any original research for his capstone).
