July 10 your post

Post by Goose »

Have read about this on other blogs. The most important thing missing
in these sales is the F16 Vipers (latest version only missing is
stealth) that Taiwan requested. These would make the Chicoms nuts.
With advanced over the horizon targeting systems they would challenge
the Chicom dominance of the skies. Japan is getting the F35's that
are short takeoff in the latest version and are converting a helo
carrier to have the F35 on board.

I agree with you that war is coming sooner rather than later. The US
is energy and food independent the Chicoms are not. They are
following the Japan's version of WW11 run up. Secure oil, food and
minerals within a sphere of influence. Have you competitors at stand
off distance and have your population cowed. The Panda is presented
as a god and divergence from the party line is punished. Chicoms hate
Japan but follow the strategy to the letter so that along makes war
with us about to start.

My first act would be to close the strait of Hormuz and sink every
merchant vessel from the Chicoms within a thousand miles of
Hawaii. First evacuate Guam.

See http://www.thedrive.com for good military info. they had the
above Goose

Nice to see back you were missed

With regard to providing even more advanced weaponry to China, the
relevant part of the DoD statement is as follows:
> "The proposed sale of this equipment and support will
> not alter the basic military balance in the region."
The State Dept. and the military are walking a line between arming
Taiwan while not provoking China any further than necessary.
