Privileged sanctuary: I read a tract on the Vietnam war about the "Ho Chi Min Trail" where the US could not stop the supply from going south. But I also found out that there was a portion that went through an area that had no other route available. We put together a force plan that would have cut off that part of the trail bringing it under our control. It would have ended resupply and troop movements. Johnson was at that time so politically in disarray that the plan was never brought out and put into place. You know the result the wall says it all.

What is going on in the middle east is the same thing. Iran is able to safely sit back and do what it wants. Other than the fact that the citizens sound like they want a change in leadership they behave like the neighborhood bully. Every country in the immediate area is subject to their BS and that means many deaths of innocents along with continuous warfare. But not on their home ground. What slows down bullies is a bloody nose. President Regan understood that and he helped Gaddafi understand that. If they try to close the strait do it again the message will be clear.

Iran is violating what has been an international agreement that no one would seek the assassination of the leadership of another country. But they have violated that agreement and I would think that the major game rule is in effect - turnabout is fair play. One strike on the leadership while in session and a big strike on their oil shipping facility are now called for. Successful or not they would know that they are now in play and both strategy and tactics would quickly change. The stupid western European politicians would scream like raped apes but they are useless even to their own citizens. One must understand that somewhere in the back of the minds of the Iranians is a dream to rebuild the old Persian Empire and that only comes by grinding the faces of neighbors into the dust. As John says in the coming war Iran must be on our side so the sooner they are brought to the realization that they must play nicely the better for both Iran and everyone else.

:)
Goose:
Kudos to you. Combining military and political strategy is a rarely seen art.
The sanctions are a catalyst and Iranian intent is on display. From your post to Trump's ears.
A braced salute.

In other China news: Their "Debt Trap" strategy takes another victom. Zambia is reportedly in talks with China over a possible takeover of the country's electricity company, ZEWASCO, after defaulting on loan repayment.

Area 51:
How sad that in these days of instant communication Zambia's VIP's didn't learn anything from the Sri Lankin double scam. Who will be next?
