Israel and the PA travel doggedly down the path towards all out war. Who'd a thunk Abbas would ever be considered a moderate? Perhaps Abbas is realizing his tantrums are empty air to Bibi. Israelis live in perpetual danger and terrorism. When Red Alert is the norm, words cease to become weapons.
Syria will become an action flick which opens in the Pentagon Situation Room. Stalllone is now relegated to pushing pawns around the flat map board. But Bruce Willis and Machete are seasoned mercs in "Afrin". This ain't gonna turn out like "Bat 21" where Gene Hackman retires singing, "I won't study war no more". Barbarism is an integral trait of generational taught hatred. America has involved itself--has chosen up sides. Since we have a president who operates at the bazaar bargaining level, the outcome is murky.
Thank you, John, for the play-by-play.

The Israelis are no better than anyone else. They are not special. Israel is the most hypocritical nation on the face of the Earth.

Israel IS special. No nation defends its own existence with such vigor and effectiveness, and no nation has as focused and determined a leader as Bibi. No nation.
My post was not meant to be flippant. Several months ago I was at a Marine depot watching 4 busloads of young men embarking for Parris Island. We need these young men on our borders first and foremost. War is about defeating the enemy. America would still be the predominant world power if Patton had been in charge of post-WWII Eurasia and then become president. Military and politics do not successfully wed.
Sound advice is: don't mess with Bibi.
(and clean out every barry
leftover)

America IS the predominant world power, right now, especially since 1991. What planet are you living on.

The US is ahead of both China and the EU militarily. Economically China has recently passed us in raw output but the US is still ahead in quality economic output.

You obviously don't travel much. China is an incredibly poor country. Leave Shanghai and you can see it. The EU is a disaster. GDP means little. Quality of life is paramount. The Chinese are looking for ways to get their money and themselves out of th country. The EU has been flooded with useless 3rd world parasites. EU armies have trouble putting helicopters and planes into the sky and many of their ships are in the state of disrepair. Bibi is a scumbag and everyone knows it. Israel is like Serbia. They have no moral boundries.

Bibi is like Hitler: He does what he has to do to protect his people. No difference.

Bibi has not killed millions of unarmed naked people in gas chambers. Big difference.
