Interesting selection of hot spots. Skipping Burkina on my summer tour if for no other reason than French "protection" has been historically iffy and oft temporary.
Remember when Gulf 1 ended before taking Kuwait and Stormin' Norman "retired? In retrospect those Kuwaiti oilfields may now escape China's empire building. America is now third as a world power behind China and the EU. Considering America's considerable human and economic investment in Iraq, this oil deal smacks of ingratitude and the dangers of exporting democracy. Our grandchildren will still be paying.
"Sports" mania never ceases to amaze me. I've held annual 40-yard line Brown's tickets and survived freezing afternoons in Lakefront Stadium. That was long before kneelers and millionaire ingrates. Imagine the esprit de corps in the soccer team locker room...the equivalent of Refrigerator Perry and the munchkins.
