this is the only point I was trying to make, there are still a significant amount of people such as myself who have been against the eu because of the fact that it superimposes a monetary authority over a patchwork of different fiscal authorities. Also another layer of centralized beaurocracy between taxpayers and their money etc etc. Yes I'm a small gov't conservative so shoot me.John wrote:for you this is only about

As for people who are driven largely by a reaction to the migration crises, I have never blamed the migrants themselves, and have not done so in this thread. My only concern with the refugees themselves would be why they are so heavily skewed to military-aged males as opposed to women and children, and polls that indicate high levels of support for sharia law to be practised in the west( although polls can be erroneous). But I digress.
I have always layed the blame squarely on the heads of western politicians who have failed to destroy, isil, aqim, ansar al sharia et al. And their failure to impose a no fly zone / safe zones for refugees. I blame the Putin regime and for deliberately fanning the flames of the crises and supplying weapons contrary to un embargoes. I blame the mullahs in Iran for supporting a tyrant. I blame the gulf Arab states for their failure to control their own golem that is Wahhabism.
Many people think along these lines, we're not just all motivated by a racial animus.
