i have an idea

after the first pass run a full belt of .50 bmg tracer into the air close the jets anticipated flight path

close enough to send the message to the jet that this behavior will no longer be tolerated but not so close as to allow the jet to claim that an attempt was made to shoot it down

putting some across its bow as it were

of course that will never happen with a career politician in the white house

That's an interesting idea. I wonder if it was considered?

Another headline could be: Russia Conducts Air Show for US Destroyer.

"Once we saw they were Su-24s, we returned to our duty stations."

Hahaha! The Su-24s are junk. And besides that, they were unarmed.

John,

Are you ever going to write about the current US political situation and leave your anti-Trump bias at the door when you do?

Sure. As soon as Trump apologizes for racist un-American remarks
about Mexicans, Muslims, and women with periods.

Is everyone listening to Trump's foreign policy speech, in progress now?

It will be in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's
longest list of completely meaningless platitudes supported by utter
nonsense.

The culture has degraded such that seeking and/or holding office, especially national-level office, is, in and of itself, proof that a given person is psychologically and morally unfit to hold public office. AB

That's all there really is to say about elections at this point. They are all compromised.

I see no difference, really.

Generational forces will dictate as we head towards dictatorship, economic servitude and war.

I wonder what the Google Go AI would think of China island building? Perhaps they should ask the AI to plan the next move in case US is thinking in terms of chess moves. Think how interesting if you could feed it data on US compromised defense and private networks, F-35 program, hypersonics (etc etc) and Gen Dyn theories. Would it become another Churchill or Chamberlain (or Stalin)?

Kiss flat tops goodbye.
