The rise of bullheaded stupidity

I'm up to the point of absolutely astounded at the stupidity shown by our "leaders" in recent months. The recent bill meant to go around the Senate in passing a short term budget resolution was both clearly unconstitutional and flat out stupid as well.

Lying to the public is the norm today. In my lifetime I've never seen
anything like this. It's almost beyond belief. In Washington, on
Wall Street, in Brussels, among politicians, analysts and journalists,
you see constant, open lying. Lying about stock valuations is the
norm. Lying about Afghanistan is the norm. Lying about public debt
is the norm. Lying about health care is the norm. It's true of both
Democrats and Republicans. It's open, it's obvious, and it doesn't
seem to matter to anyone. The only thing that matters is blaming
someone else.
