Eurasianism

Post by DaKardii »

This is a thread that discusses the Eurasianist movement and what role it could play during the Clash of Civilizations War.

Let's start with John. What's your take on this movement?

Well, I'll start off with sharing a few links.

1) A 1927 essay by Nikolai Trubetzkoy laying out the basic concepts of Eurasianism:

2) A website that has TONS of information on the "neo-Eurasianism" founded by Russian philosopher Aleksandr Dugin, which transforms geopolitics and the Clash of Civilizations into a full-blown political ideology as opposed to mere concepts in political science:

3) A Bloomberg article highlighting Dugin's activism and influence in Russia, Turkey, and Europe. Note that the article portrays Steve Bannon as defending Dugin, despite the fact that in the actual speech it cites, Bannon does nothing of the sort.
